If you have a job, a bank account and a credit history, then you might be able to get a card. Most Visa cards will need to be secured until you are 18, meaning that you pay up front and then are allowed to charge a small amount above that amount. The better bet is to get a debit card on your bank account with a visa logo on it. Just do not over draw your account. Start good credit practices now for a better future, don’t make mistakes now that will affect your ability to buy a home/car later.

However, the only sure fire way is to have your parents add you as an authorized user to their account. Make an arrangement that you pay them up front and charge things so you build your own credit up. Just remember if you over charge, or do not pay for your charges, your parents will take away the card, etc. Plus, if your parents have bad credit, or do not pay that bill on time it will reflect poorly on your credit score as well. Set up a contact in writing with your parents going over very aspect of you using the credit card so there are no misunderstandings in the future.

I know that it is possible to get a credit card at age 15 if you have a good credit history and a bank account. My friend has one under his name and he is 15 years old.

I don't know for sure about Visa, but I know for some companies it is possible.

Not really. Your parents could get a card that they load money onto for you. The one I know of is called Visa Buxx. It can be used anywhere Visa cards are accepted.

You have to be 18 to get a credit card in your own name.

Parents, of course. They have to at least approve it, and probably co-sign.

If you do, your limit is probably gonna be $500 or less.
