You need to look at the circumstances before deciding if you should forgive him. If it was a one nighter after a night of drinking and you think he really won't do it again, maybe. If it was a long drawn out affair and you were lied to and betrayed I don't think I would. The best way to know for sure is to ask yourself, if you do forgive him, will you be able to trust him in the future? If you can't then you are going down a road that won't take you were you want to go anyway. Good luck in your decesion.

the question that you need to ask yourself, is if you could really forgive him, or if this is something that would always make you question him. He may spend the rest of his life trying to prove to you that it was a one time mistake, but to no avail, which is not fair to him.
On the other hand, do you believe that it only happened once? Did he feel guilty about it, and tell you about it, or did you find out elsewhere? How long did it take him to be totally honest?
These are all questions that you need to ask yourself before you come to a decision about this guy.

im sorry.but you cant .listen and trust me if i man does it once he will do it agian. no matter how srry he is he will do it agian.same thing if a guy hits you he will do it agian.ok so youve been together for 3 years and he cheats on you well that means he doesnt respect you and you can ttrust him and those are the two most important things in a realationship so dont forgive him but dont get back together with him i know it might be hard but he will do it agian.

p.s unless he was drunk then it probly wasnt his fault just next time watch him when hes drunk

If you feel like he deserves forgivness and yoou feel like you want to try and work things out with him then yes but if you feel like you want be able to trust him again and that he would do it all over again then I say no. You just have to decide how you feel about him, that's the main thing.
