You need to be careful online. The KM from June has a question in the Questionbox about meeting people online. I sugest you review that article. Look around on answers and you will see many JW's here. But read what they have written and you will know the true ones from the false ones.

I didn't become a JW until I was 40 years old. I spent a lot of time being tossed around and skinned by the world. When I came into the truth it was like a weight was lifted off of me. I found true friendships and loving people that were humble and kind hearted. It was a big change from what I was use to. In the world everyone is "looking out for #1". You don't know who to trust and there just aren't a lot of people who truly try to live by moral principals. A persons looks and character can change. It's their values that are important. JW teach great values. They require the congregation to keep itself clean. Are there problems sometimes? Yes. Do they handle them? Yes Are we imperfect humans ? Yes Do we claim to do everything perfect all the time? No I respect that JW continue to dig and study the bible. They do not stand on old traditions and customs. They have had some mistakes in the past but they are always willing to grow and search for the accurate knowledge. We are united! What other religion do you know of that is so organized and united. We all study the same materials each week. World wide. When a brother gives a talk it is the same outline that is being used all around the world. Wow! There is no one just winging it and giving their own interpretation. We do not follow one person. Everything is checked and rechecked. Also, I love all the volunteer work. Kingdoms halls are built by volunteers. Our speakers are not paid. We are not about the money like so many of the religions with their fancy, building of rich splendor. My duaghter is turning 16 May 5th. She was just baptized at our last assembly day, April 4th! :) I'm a proud mom. It is good that you are looking for healthy association. Please be careful. There are some who are not who they portray themselves to be on here. They are wolves in sheeps clothing. They will twist things and try to trick you into not pursuing your relationship with Jehovah. Jehovah draws those with the right heart condition. He draws close to those that draw to him first.

The best association you can find is not on the Internet. If you're looking for true friends just try to talk and spend more time with the members of your congregation. Sometimes we have to make the first step and talk to them. They will surely respond in a nice way because they know that love is an important characteristic of the true Christians and that showing love they imitate Jehovah and Jesus.
Read the following articles. They will surely help.

I'm married to a JW but very much not JW. I am very open minded, and think you should do the same. You need to interact with ALL people not just JW. They even tell you that! Have friends, you don't have to believe what they do if you don't want to. The only people you have to steer clear of is baptized disfellowshipped people, other than that you're free. Good luck in finding some life long friends. I'm sure you won't have a problem.

Shouldn't you look around among people you know in real life/are members of nearby congs (is that short for congregation, BTW?)
You have no idea of the real identity of anyone who responds to your postings--it's like an open invitation to child predators, etc.

Brother you should not feel this way in a conjuration of love.
Why don't you talk to the elders about your feelings.
I understand where your coming from as i use too fell the same but i realised it was me as i am a bit stand offish.

I would love to be your friend ...
but i can not.
Keep your eyes on the prize

The best encouragement comes directly from reading the Scriptures. Personal fellowship also has an important role in true worship, but the internet is certainly *NOT* the place for true Christians to find good association.
(Hebrews 10:24,25) And let us consider one another to incite to love and fine works, not forsaking the gathering of ourselves together, as some have the custom, but encouraging one another, and all the more so as you behold the day drawing near.

I recommend hanging out with the older ones in your congregation.
Also,
what is the spiritual qualities of the guy's?
Of you?
There are several on here that say they are witnesses but when you read their comments you know other wise.
Talk to your parents and let them know what you are going thru.
