there and does not try, but then we we are at home she says yes she will do it. her twin sister is trying and doing the moves and enjoys it. the one in question is only interested in getting the uniform but not trying to learn the moves. how to handle the disappoint when she doesnt get her uniform and her sister does. she seems to throw fits when she doesnt get her way. her sister is not that way very easy going to be twins. the one in question is wanting to be the opposite of where anyone is like if i am outside she wants to be in vice versa im upstairs she wants to be downstairs. she has gotten scissors and cut her hair then her sisters hair. poured clorox on her moms new bedspread, just stays into things. this is why i thought it would be good for her to be in something stay busy with other girls her age. but she seems to refuse to try. but befor we go to practice one minute she says she will do it then when we get there she just stands and watches. any suggestions.

She is looking for PERSONAL attention. She is tired of being a twin and having to do everything her sister does. Each twin will have seperate interests.

Find something special for her to do by herself.

Its good that you are trying to get her involved with things like her sister, but from the way you described it , it seems like her twin sister is favored as the 'good child' over her. If a child catches on to that, no matter what age, she is going to be upset and do things to get more attention. That could be why she throws temper tantrums and does other bad things.

Because they are twins does not mean they are going to enjoy the same things or act the same way. If she doesnt want to participate then dont make her. Let her pick something that she wants to do.

Is anything else going on in the household? She also could be rebelling.you say they are twins right.she may want to make you happy which could be why she says she will try but also she wants to be different from her sis.maybe instead of signing her up for sports like her sister try the craft activities most towns have for all ages.these are great.as for the getting into things problem....this sounds like she wants to stand out!this is her way of saying give me attention.even if you do give her attention she may feel like second best considering her sister does soo well at sports and such and she feels upset at herself.hope this helps i am also 1 sister of 3 and i also did my fair share or problem causing.because i always felt compared to them and inside didnt feel i measured up.

Step 1: Try the new activity.
Step 2: Judge results.
Step 3: Continuing same activity or try new activity based on step 2.
