In my dream I got shot with a gun, I can still see and remember the barrel of the gun pointed toward me before I felt the impact of the bullet enter into my stomach and ribs.

This is not the first time I have dreamed of being shot. But it has been at least a year though. Can you explain to me what this may mean?

Thank You

I don't watch tv, matter of a fact I don't even have a t.v. at home.
My kids are out of town, and have been on vacation all summer. I won't get to see them and have them home for a few weeks. I miss them dearly.
All summer I have done positive things with positive people.
I have been on the go though quite frequently these past couple of weeks.
What ever the reason for the dreams we have I know that God will take care of us.

Thanks again.

You obviously have a deep-seated worry about something (or someone). Dreams like this don't necessarily mean they're prophetic, they just mean that there are some issues you should maybe be addressing.

Good luck :)

Usually, being shot is a dream represents someone is going to wound you. It does not neccessarily mean they will actually shoot you. It can be with words or by their actions. But where you get shot is just important. Being shot in the stomach and the ribs symbolize two things. Stomach represent the things you allow your heart and digest to meditate on and digest. Rib represents the guard for your vital organs such as heart and lungs. Your dream is showing you that you are not covering yourself in those areas of your life.

I dont think this really means anything. I've had that dream before, where I felt the bullet and everything, but it was probably just a dream; our minds playing tricks on us. Since the dream, etc. I've never gotten shot and also my re-occuring dreams have not played out in life, so just dont worry about it. It's probably just the game of life giving you something to think about if you've been bored with it lol.

It probably means nothing. Do not eat heavy foods near or at bedtime. Indigestion or very active digestive processes can have disturbing affects on you during sleep, just as they can while one is awake. Also, regardless of anything you might dream, be careful to avoid situations where you are already aware that conflicts and violence are VERY LIKELY to occur. Never run to watch a fight or heavy police activity. Go home when it gets dark or stay indoors at your workplace at night, when you have no reason to be outside. Do not associate with known troublemakers. That has nothing to do with dreams it is just sound advice. Best wishes.

Dreams are often a psychological manifestation of what is going on in your life. You have to figure out what the gun barrel means to you. Could be fear of death or being shot, but often times death in a dream means a change. It is possible this means you are about to undergo a swift change of course in your life.

According to Dreamcrowd:

To dream that you are dreaming, signifies your emotional state. You are excessively worried and fearful about a situation or circumstance that you are going through.

I wouldn't worry that you are going to get shot. Dreams are an expression of our sub conscience and rarely but mostly not clairvoyance. So maybe you saw something disturbing and your brain is trying to wrap around it.

Do you hear shots at night a lot where you live? Anxiety can create such dreams.
