The question should have been, if there was a god to begin with, why would he have created the universe?

My answer to the "why was the universe created" question is undeniably simple. There is no why. It is just a chance occurrence known as the Big Bang.

It is said that God created the Heavens and the Earth for us. I don't completely agree with that. If that were the case, what's the reason for the other planets? Just for our curiosity. I believe in the whole plan, we were an after thought. Which is what made the angels so upset. Everything was fine with them until God decided to create man in his own image and put his value or "soul" above that of an angel. Hence the revolt and the devil and his minions, and hell it's self.
