People say that computer is very useful and inform us a lot of knowledge. But in my experience, I feel a lot frustrated concerning with computer. Once, there was a malware attacking my computer, I was very anxious and frustrated. Sometimes I delete some files by accident and the important programs do not function or disappear. Often, I cannot dial up my msn messenger. I think sometimes I am not happy with using computer but I cannot stop using it. I consider myself addict to computer.

The cause of stress is not the computer.

The computer is an inanimate object.

How you think and feel about the computer is causing you stress.

You have connected in your mind how you feel frustrated with what you are saying to yourself about the computer.

Here's a way that may help you.
Set yourself a schedule
.
Go do something else that you need to do.

Only when you have done that, then reward yourself with one hour of computer time.

As soon as you use up the hour, go do something else again, and again only reward yourself when you have it done.

Repeat this over and over, until you are in control of how you feel.

Whoa, join the club. I think that most people who use the computer feel much the same way as you. These things are helpful, but it is easy for things to get screwed up real bad, and for them to take a long time to get straightened out. As far as being addicted, there is that possiblity but more likely to be overly obsessed with it. They can be a black hole so as to speak because of all of the time that goes in as a person is just learning how to use it, and starting to use a new program.

I have been using a computer now for almost 20 years and have the same experiance that you are stating. I am an intermediate user, and have used sophisticated programs, and do some hardware work as well. I have over a years worth of training in computer networking and related other training.

It is important to use a virus detector, as well as programs to catch spyware and adware. 2 programs I would suggest are "Adaware," and "Spybot Search and Destroy." They are free and do a good job catching those nasty little programs that find their way into your computers. Norton and McAfee both make good virus detection programs. Avast (or AVG) I can't remember the actual name has a good virus protector that is free, and does a good job. You can download these programs from Download.com which is a good secure site.

There are a number of good basic books that are helpful, and I still refer to them periodically.

Trust this is helpful, have fun, TAKE BREAKS and limit your time. Best not to do time crucial tasks when learning.

Don't worry. Ask anyone with a computer and i'm sure they will say they have been frustrated at some point. Usually it's not your fault. Try using anti Spyware/Malware programs etc. Stop deleting files when you're not sure what they do! You should normally be able to retrieve such things anyway from the recycle bin. Information is knowledge.

My computer makes me extremely frustrated. I am the only one in my house that actually knows how to use a computer so anytime my husband uses it hes always KATE KATE come here! Why isn't this opening? Why is it being slow? Why did I get this message? Where do I go for? My 5 y/o and my 3 y/o love to play online games. I can be downstairs doing laundry and they come running to the door and yell for me saying HELP MOMMY! So I bust butt up the stairs and get "Can you put my game on for me? Can you help me with my game?" And then back to my husband every time he is on it he tunes everything and everyone out and ends up in his own little world and I can scream on the top of my lungs and he does not hear me. Just last night I was standing not even a foot away from him saying his name over and over and over. I had to bend over and yell in his ear for him to even realize I was there!

So yeah my computer frustrates me. So much I would love to chuck it out the window!
