you do not believe in GOD anyway? Could it be that somewhere deep in side of you there is a still small voice whispering, "what if its true"?

Why are so many Fundamentalists in the gay and lesbian section? Is it because there is a still, small voice whispering, "what if I'm gay?"
I'm just here for the free drinks and to explain evolution to everyone.
Cheers!

Dear, it is far more complicated then this, you see, we are all looking for something, even the so called “believers”, we really know so little or not at all of the truth.

We know through the metaphysical and by what was resisted to us by scholars of faith! Some are very skeptical of the whole “divinity” business and come here either to look for something or laugh at something!

Although they do not believe, it is amusing nevertheless to see people yapping at each other on whose God is true, and whose faith is the real deal.

Another point here, the soul reason of the whole thing- yahoo answers- is to find and give answers, to express one’s own vision of things; the nonbelievers are part of us as whole and therefore entitled to be here in the first place.

I'm an athiest. You can still be spiritual without believing in GOD. Or did you not know that? Not all athiest bash other religions or beliefs. In fact, I have two children, whom I refuse to discuss my beliefs with. I believe it is up to them to decide what answers their questions about life or the after life. I don't push my beliefs on anyone, including my children. I do find that I am a spiritual person though. Open up your mind a little.

The R&S section is not just for those who believe in God. It is to discuss R&S. Discussing religion also means there can be opposing points of view! The section is not a religion or a religious place in itself that you could deny entry to non-believers. This is a Q&A and non-believers also come here to present their point of view about the topic!

Just because I'm an atheist doesn't mean I'm not religious... some atheists are religious, others are not. I'm a Bokononist, I just happen to believe Bokonon made it all up (he says so himself), so that includes the stories about God. And no, that is not a "quirky" position, many Christian theologians believe there is no God, this is called "God is dead theology". Look it up, it's a very interesting tradition.

It's called the religion and spirituality section, is it not? You assume that you NEED god to be spiritual, don't you?

If there was that little voice, you would not be an Atheist, you'd be an Agnostic.

Because you don't need to believe in God to be in the "spirituality" section. I, for one, do have a religion despite an absent belief in God.

This is not the God or Christian section. We come here because we are interested in the subject and have something to say. This is a place of pros and cons for discussion sake, and I'm CON religion, yet non-religiously spiritual.

atheist (THINK)

This is a drinking question. FYI
*drink drink drink*

Actually we keep asking ourselves and everyone else; "How can you believe what the bible says is true?" In this modern age and your obvious, if not limited, ability to use the internet, why don't you research the origins of your religion? We have.

I am an atheist but I think religion is interesting. I like to compare and research different religions. However, I am convinced there is no God.
