Catholic dogmas do not change in their essence. The Public revelation or "Deposit of Faith" was given to the 12 Apostles. Jesus said, that the Holy Spirit will lead to all truth.
Some of the teachings were in germ form like a seed. It was for later generations lead by the Holy Spirit to discover truths already revealed.
The Sensus Fedei of the Church is the working of the Holy Spirit in union with the Bishops and Pope (who Collectively represent the 12 Apostles and the Pope of course -Peter.)
Unknown to Protestants the Orthodox Church works the same way except they don't have the Pope. It was the Protestants who denied this working of the Holy Spirit in the Church
Catholic Dogmas do not change, they deepen or are expanded as applied to present day realities.
The Immaculate Conception and Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary is not only based upon Mary's role in Salvation as given in the Bible but also Oral Tradition. It is not new!

If the Catholic Church has been wrong her doctrines, then Jesus was a liar. Because he guaranteed that the Spirit of truth would lead the Mystical Body. It was the protestant reformation that commited errors of doctrine.

For those who are so convinced that the Catholic Church's teachings are so much 'extra-biblical', you are invited to visit the following url and see for yourself how the teachings are referenced to verses in the bible itself.

A bit.

Both deeper understanding of the Holy Scriptures and the continuing guidence of the Holy Spirit in Holy Tradition have led the Catholic Church to gradually change some of its doctrines.

Here are a few examples:

+ What writings were to be included in the Bible were not finalized until about 400 C.E.

+ The doctrine of the Holy Trinity did not become official until aabout 325 C.E. If you mentioned the Holy Trinity to the original Apostles they would not have know what you were talking about.

+ The Catholic Church did not begin to condemn slavery, a seemingly biblically approved way of life, until the 1400s when looking at the love of God as shown in the Bible as a whole instead of verse by verse brought the evil of slavery into view.

With love in Christ.

Yes. To suit the church. I just hope that the people from catholic religions actually read their bible and compare it to how the catholic church does their things. It's plain to see that many of the catholic practices are extra biblical, or completely contradict what God says. But a majority of people love themselves and men over God. And they will defend the men, even if it means losing their own soul in the process.

I love truth. Even if it stings and hurts, I love it. Even if everyone in the world is not following truth, you, as an individual are held accountable for what you do. Its the old "well all my friends were doing it" type of thing. There will be no arguments when you're dead. No more justifying yourself etc.

With love through Christ Jesus,

Dusty

lots of folk, consisting of many Catholics, interior the previous did no longer understand the variation between church doctrine and church regulation and in church regulation they did no longer understand the variation between church regulation of divine foundation and church regulation of human foundation. case in point, in Mexico they in no way had to abstain from meat on Friday. It grow to be a church regulation of human foundation which Catholics have been obliged to obey, yet Mexico grow to be nonetheless decrease than dispensation given to Spain some years earlier. quickly earlier communion is a church regulation of human foundation. I had a buddy back interior the days of the three hour quickly earlier Vatican 2. She had numerous coaching in awareness church regulation. She went to Mass after artwork and sooner or later she forgot and ate a candy bar from the merchandising gadget. She grow to be status interior the Communion line and remembered it. She did no longer bypass back and sit down by using fact she suggested the scandal she might have led to could have been greater severe. I even have heard priest and a bishop say her place grow to be precisely nicely suited. The regulation of abstinence isn't an end into itself. additionally, say you're invited to a house on an afternoon of Abstinence for a meal and your host has long gone to a great deal of attempt to coach the meal and meat is the main entree. in accordance to clergymen and a bishop, charity in the direction of your host could take priority and you will consume the beef. those issues have in no way been church doctrine. The Catechism of the Catholic Church that got here out approximately two decades in the past did no longer point out limbo. no longer each and every utterance or action of the Pope is considered infallible. basically whilst he defines doctrine ex cathedra in union with the Bishops of the international. I understand this has basically got here approximately approximately 20 cases interior the previous 2000 years.

Certainly Catholic doctrine changes. They used to persecute folks for saying the earth orbits the sun. I was taught as a child by the Catholic church that only Catholics are eligible to go to heaven. ALL non-Catholics were said to go to hell regardless of what they believed or what they did. Catholic doctrine is a moving target.
