As a Veteran, I would want to know why you wanted that information. It's none of your business where I am stationed and what I am doing.

More than likely if they are active, you would know if there were people in the area. Most active duty personnel live on post or in the surrounding communities of a post/base. Why don't you put up a general ad thanking them for their service? Due to OPSEC you will not get that information, and thank your lucky stars you can't, that puts our military members at great risk.

You won't be able to find a list anywhere. If you are looking to provide some kind of service or just to pass along something, contact the local base or post operator and they can help answer any questions or help point you in the right direction.

Yep, like all the others I echo the same response. You cannot aquire any type of 'list' like that. OPSEC and Federal law prohibit it.

Why would you need to know? After some hippie shot a military member last week, I wouldn't want anyone having my name.

You can't. That kind of information is not public, and if you attempt to find it you will be on a watch list for the rest of your life.

You will never know because of OPSEC...Operational Security...if you live in a Military town you know there are many...if you do not...there are probably none, except for maybe a Recruiter or two...

the law makes it difficult to get a list of convicted felons and sexual offenders. You really think they would actually list law abiding citizens in uniform?
