I met a guy 3 wks ago, and we were having good conversations. We started asking each other about our personal business. When I ask for his age, he was honest and told me he was only 20. and want be 21 til next February. I was like whoa...This guys is different from the others I've dated, and their ages range from 23-40. This guys works 2 jobs, and him and his sister have an apartment together. I have been able to stay with him over night. (thats something I never done before cause usually my guys dont have their own place). IF he's doing something like cleaning, or moving furniture, or etc..., he will give me his cell phone and say answer it, and don't care who call his phone. Ususally guys and ladies are skeptical about letting their mate answering the phone. I have been able to be in his house by myself. he wash my car, change oil, and even cook. Remeber I never had this before even with an older man. So what I am asking is should I ignore his age, and just keep on dating him.

Hi --

i think that a lot of times age does matter, but you two aren't that many years apart, really. 8 years isn't all that much.

he seems mature and responsible, sure of himself and seems to have some ambition from where i sit.

give it a chance if you feel comfortable about it.... and by the way, his age and yours are no one else's business.... it shouldn't be a topic of conversation with your family or friends.

what's important is that you care for each other. give it time and see what develops?

take care !

My experience is that lots of guys are immature for their age, even up to age 50. If you found one that is mature at 20, hang on tight, because if you let him go, someone else will snatch him up before you bat an eye. He's a keeper for sure, as long as everything else works for you.

age is just a number, its how a person treats you is what is important. Dont let anyone tell you differnt. If he is nice and caring towards you, you should just be happy with that.

When I was 19 I met someone who was 25. Now 2 years later we're still together. Your age gap is a bit larger, but I say if y'all are loving it go ahead and have fun

If you are having fun and enjoying his company, continue and see where it leads. It is sort a big gap so it may bring up some trouble later. But dont just throw him off to the gutter because of his age, because truthfully, you just never know!

He isn't that much older and you are both adults. Why in the world are you so hesitant about a guy that sounds so wonderful? Sounds like you are having second thoughts about a relationship that may be getting serious. Relax and enjoy it...he sounds great!

Ignore the age judge the man himself. Wow he seems like a great guy!

Are you looking for a lover or a houseboy? LOL Seriously, you need to find someone your own age. Boys at that age aren't mature enough for a real relationship.

Absolutely! Sounds like a great catch. If you get along and the chemistry is there, what does age really matter?
