You really need to discuss with your friend how you feel. You may even need to take some time before you do that to reflect inwardly on how you feel. If you are not attracted to this person, be sure that you are gentle when you let him know that is the reason that you do not want to have a deeper relationship with him. From what you posted, it sounds as though you are fighting to keep platonic relationships because it is what you have always done. You might want to consider what would happen if you didn't. If you are attracted to your friend, you could take a chance and develop a deeper relationship with him. Just make sure if you do choose that option that you let him know you want to go slow with it. The only person who really knows what you are thinking and feeling is you, and if you don't ever share that with anyone, they will rejected and hurt by you and won't want to continue their friendship with you. Good luck!

let them know you value your friendship more than an intimate or dating relationship.

hopefully someday you will meet people who have grown up attitudes and who are understanding.

it's not against the law to date more than one person at the time. in fact, it opens the field of selection.... if a date wants to be possessive, then he's not giving you any freedom to live your life, and he is too pushy.

people are in too big of a hurry to make a committment without first weighing their options and living a little!

do what you feel is right for you.

Give him what he wants. Make him a happy man. If you don't put out and give him what he wants if he's already had an extremem lack of success with women, you'll leave him miersable and we don't want that, do we?

just tell him, he is like your brother so you would never feel for him in that sense

that should do the trick
