Do you have any pictures form your wedding? Even a really nice hi-res one that a family member or friend took? If so, I would load it up onto Snapfish.com, you might have to be an Optonline.net customer, not sure (Kodak.com might work)... and play around with their "Thank You" card options. On Snapfish, you can crop and touch up your photos with the tools they have available ( I just used is the other day for the first time and I LOVE it). Not sure what your budget is, but the prices are reasonable. If you decide not to do this, you have to call you photographer EVERYDAY until he/she gives you an answer, don't be afraid to harass them, you paid good money for his/her service and you need your cards, demand a discount for having to wait! When did he/she promise them to you??? If this doesn't work out in a timely matter, then try Snapfish, I think the guests would love to see a picture (keepsake) of the 'new couple' rather than a generic Thank You card. I hope that helps!

I would tell the photographer you need the wedding pictures for the thank you cards. If he needs more time for the rest that is OK however I would make it a point that he either gives you those pictures now or you will not need them later and send a thank you note with out a photo. Use a regular thank you card.

Thank you notes should be sent out no later than one month after you return from your honeymoon. Ideally, for gifts received before the wedding, thank you notes should be in the mail within two weeks. If you can't get photograph cards in time, send out regular thank-you notes and use the cards for something else later. The most important thing is to thank your guests for their generosity towards you and they will appreciate a simple, timely thank you more than a very late one with a photo on the front.

I would send out regular ones, however you have a year to send out the cards. I would also contact the photographer about this. If you paid for this service and it has not been done. If he still does not get them out contact the better business bureau

He can't get them to you in 5 months? Call him and tell him that you had ordered them but he still didn't give them to you yet. He may have forgotten about them. Complain and ask for money back because of his unprofessionalism. There's no reason at all to have waited this long. If he can't get them to you within a week, just write out regular thank yous and ask him to cancel the order and refund all of the money for them plus 10%.

It would be completely appropriate to send thank you cards now so that your guests know you appreciate what they have done for you. When the photo thank you's come go ahead and send them as well. It will just extend your celebration! Congratulations!

Buy other Thank You cards, and do them now. Call the photographer and cancel the ones, telling them they are too late to use and you will not pay for them.

Call the photographer and get them printed and picked up immediately...I would have resorted to being a huge thorn in his side long before now.

Contact your photographer and let him/her know that you will expect a refund if you don't receive your photo thank you's in ____ days.

Would you believe I've been married for TWO YEARS and my photographer still hasn't sent me my bridal album?! He won't return my calls. We already paid him $600. I am having our lawyer contact him. Good luck!
