Not meaning to be nasty but someone once said to me if you can't afford to buy an animal then you can't afford to keep it. However what you have done is great most of my female cats have got spayed for around 40 quid but the rspca run voucher schemes for the purpose of the un employed etc and I have taken advantage of this they often use the best vets practise as well. I really admire you for taken on a stray and calling it your own lesser people would put it back on the street once realizing it was un-netured. Cat number 6 of mine was a stray left at a house, I didn't know she was entire until it was pregnant. Good luck with the cat hope it brings much happiness.

If you don't want to spend the spaying prices at most vet offices (around $100) then another good option is to take your cat to the closest Humane Society. They are found all over the country and I think they usually have a fixed price of $60. You also usually don't need to make an appointment as long as you walk into the clinic before 10 am.
Hope this helps!

Easiest thing to do is call 118 118 for the number of your nearest vet and ask!
I live in Surrey and it costs £50 to get a female cat spayed at our local vet.
The PDSA can help with spaying costs if you are on benefits - http://www.pdsa.org.uk Also try calling the RSPCA, who may be willing to give you a voucher to help with the spaying costs.
As she's a stray, make sure you get her all checked out and make sure her health is ok before you get her settled in :-)

I'd just get the phone book and start calling around to the vets, the animal shelter and others. Ask if there's any low cost options, or animal clinics that sponsor low income spay and neuter. They'll be aware of what's available in the area.

It all depends on the vet. When I got my cat fixes I called two vets one said 100. and another said 150. We ended up going to a humane society place that fixed my cat for 50. Look in your phone book and see if you have a humane society or the aspca in your area. Call them up and see if they can help you

Done? You mean fixed? Look at the PETA website. They have snip vans here and may have them there. They fix a cat for like $40 here. They have super low cost shots too, and no 'office visit' charge to snake extra money out of you.

go your animal shelter and ask for a certificate to get your cat fixed the cost is minimal, here is sc it is only 25.00 and then take you your pet to the vet and give them the certificate . that should be all you have to do.al least that is how we do it here.

It usually takes a day and they come home the same day, a bit sore and hungry and sleepy, but the vets will advise you on how to care for them.
