Fats have double the energy per gram by weight. But for good health, fat should only add 20-30% of calories in your diet. And primarily a somewhat close balance of mono and poly-unsaturated fats, with very low saturated fats.

Avocados, and in the nuts the best ratios and low saturated fats are peanuts, pecans, pine nuts, and pistachios. Walnuts with almond or hazelnuts will give a good blend, also.

Brazils, cashews, and macadamias have 4, 2, and 3 times the saturated fats as most of the other nuts.

You want a very balanced diet, but need to know your optimal calories to keep a healthy weight, and get lots of calories and natural nutrients from fruits, veggies, and grains.

Hi,

Well to be honest with you all food (real food) gives you energy. I don't believe one food would give you more energy than another food. You need vegetables, fruit, meat (no pork), nuts & seeds to give you unbelievable energy. Other than food the two best things for energy are SLEEP and WATER!

So in a nut shell for energy here it is:
1.Sleep (Rejuvenates the body and heals)
2.Water (Hyrdates the cells and transports nutrients to the cells)
3.Food (Gives your body nutrition for energy)
4.Excercise (Builds muscle which gives energy)

That is what you need to do for energy.

Eat a small piece of chicken breast, a piece of whole wheat toast w/o butter, some broccoli, and a small sweet potato.

Gives you protein, carbs, and nutrition... Add about a pint of water...
