I had this question removed.. anyone tell me why?

"What’s happened to our Forces?"
ok, so here is my latest grumble...
Scene 1: Your 16, leaving school, what shall i do? I know, join the Forces so I can serve my Country, Queen and defend the nation, or die trying.
Scene 2:"Men, we've got terrorist’s to go get, need you to go to Iraq/Afghanistan, pack your stuff"
Scene 3:**News Bulletin** “There's never been so many resignations in the Forces before”

Anyone else see what’s wrong with this picture??

They sign up, get the training (and most probably the girls) then one day they have to actually do something to defend our great nations.

And they all run like girls!!

Why join the forces if your not willing to actually defend the country when we need it most?

Why moan and complain when your job IS to go to these countries... you job IS to police other countries... Your job IS to be in the line of fire....

Oh, I’m sorry… did they not tell you that when you signed up?

It was removed because it's not a question, it's a rant. I have to agree with you, tho. There are a lot of people that truly show their yellow spines when it comes time to do what you were trained to do, but there are more that are sticking it out and doing the job right.

Maybe if you ask a question, and don't go on a rant, it won't get pulled. I doubt it, tho. You just upset too many people when you tell the truth.

Yes they do tell you the basics for the most part when you sign up, but do understand...most people go in with a headstrong aptitude. I doubt these people go in "moaning and complaining" as you say. Some people simply find out the hard way that they are not going to be able to adjust to military life, just like I am sure yourself and many others have gotten a civilian job and realized it wasn't for you, and then you quit and moved on. Since military personnel are tied in through a contract it's not so easy to move on which eventually in time I suppose leads to the "moaning and complaining". Why are you so high strung about this anyways? If you really are unhappy with the way other people behave in the service why don't you join and show everyone up? Actions speak louder than words, always remember that.

As for why it got pulled this is Yahoo Answers, correct? To answer questions...not to state your opinions. Write to George Bush or something, I'm sure he'll care as much as nobody else.

We have that problem here in the States too... Young kids join the military for the college money, some of them anyway... Well when it comes time for them to deploy, they sit there and say "I didnt sign up for this!!!"..... I dont understand why they think like that, its the military, youre supposed to deploy when the time comes....

My guess is that the people doing this see the military and all government as a jobs program.

I am glad you are in Great Britain. We have more than our share of semi-literates in the US.
