i have never seen a perfect resume unless you count the fake ones in how-to books. and yes, i am a single mother of one son and i go to school and have to work two jobs to make ends meet. actually, the ends really don't meet anyway.

this is just one more example of how corporate america does not give a s**t about anything but there profit margin. most everyone i know, single or married, with or without kids, can't make it from one paycheck to the other without stressing. it is ridiculous! maybe this is some conspiracy to keep us all so busy and stressed out that we give up control out of sheer exhaustion.

that sucks!

No resume is perfect cos no one is perfect... not even my resume :))

I am working at 2 jobs at the moment, but I guess it's not because of the money, cos I could live w/ only one I guess... But I spend a lot :(... so - lucky me I have 2 jobs & not enough time 2 go shoping as often as I wish... though I do manage 2 spend more money than I have in 2 hours (or even less if I have 2!) shopping a week :)))
Ah... and I am a workoholic :), so maybe that's y I have 2 jobs + volunteer...

A perfect resume is in the eye of the beholder, I think. It's subjective, and my idea of perfect may not jive with your idea of a perfect resume.

A lot of people I know have second jobs, either a weekend job or try to pick up freelance work. I sell stuff on ebay and craigslist.

The worst place I saw people working second jobs was when I lived in DC. Even people who had "good jobs" worked a second job because the cost of living there is so high.

I think there are perfect resumes for some jobs but they have to be a match to what the employer is looking for.

I know many people who work more than one job to make ends meet.
