In order to check, I decided to quit dairy products for three days. I feel so much lighter (i mean my tummy). I feel less full or bloated in the morning. Usually after eating or drinking something dairy, I feel the symbtoms after 30 minutes, even if I drink coffee or tea. Could I be lactose intolerant?

you don't mention your age, but it is a common occurrence in people as they age. Your symptoms are compatible with your diagnosis.

This is very possible, though in addition you could have beginning stages of ibs. Bloating can be caused by dairy, even certain veggies - sodium (hidden in side dishes such as frozen or prepacked-canned, boxed foods) can also contribute to bloating and retaining water. Look at some of the side dishes in your cabinets and freezer, check the sodium amount and your eyes will pop out of your head!

I began IBS symptoms when I was in my mid 30's, I am now 40 and unable to eat certain foods that never used to bother me before. I find that I am REALLY sensative around my time of month- The best way to find out what is best is to do what you are doing, experiment and see how you feel with and/or without certain foods- in time you learn what to avoid.
You know your body more than anyone, and because our bodies do tend to change every 7 years, it isn't surprising when a new issue arises-but we just learn to adjust I guess-

This goes for sodium too- when I was pregnant I had toxemia and had to go on a low sodium diet the last 4 months of my pregnancy, after having my daughter, my husband went out and got burgers for us- when I bit into the burger it was so salty that I gagged and spit it out. So though it may be difficult at first to avoid certain things, when you get used not having it, you end up not even wanting it anymore anyway.

you probably are, but to be sure I would see your doctor. Its common for people to develop an intolerance that they didn't have before. So don't worry you'll just need to make a few changes in your diet.
I developed lactose intolerance after I got to college and changed from regular milk to soy. It was hard to get used to but now I actually like it.
