I struggle with road rage, it drives me crazy to be cut off and then have that same person slow down to turn a block later, or to be tail gated and please don't let someone go sixty in the fast lane, grrr. I find myself wishing the horn was really a loud speaker so I could give them some useful information (so to speak). But then I remind myself how wrong this attitude is and I try to calm myself and apologize to God and whoever was in the car unfortunate enough to witness my bad judgement. Is there something about yourself that you wish you could change or control?

Action, I felt the need to reply, I apologize to God because I am a believer and I know He wants me to be happy, not angry. I apologize to my family because it is morally correct, not a narcissitic desire to avoid hell. Also, I am hopeful that by displaying regret over my actions my children may not give in to frustration and anger over nonsense. I gave you a thumbs up for the other part of your answer, but I did want to make my motives a little more clear. Thanks.

Steve, I must admit that my dad has been an OTR driver for the last 15 years and many of my outbursts have more to do with the observation of another driver doing something that I find a danger to myself or those with me. I particularly hate seeing someone weaving through traffic. And sometimes it is very dangerous to have someone pull into the left lane of the highway at a slow rate of speed. I have seen many brakes locked up and the driver seems completely unaware of what might have just happened.

I have some road rage as well, and I am generally quick to anger and slow to recover.

I'm also overly impatient with stupidity or simple slowness of thought.

This is an excellent question - one of the best I've seen here in recent weeks. Thank you.

Since wildlife photography is my hobby, I get nuts when people do thoughtless things that cause some creature's death or injury.

Right now I'm protecting a baby Egyptian Goose that got snarled in fishing line left by the side of the lake. Iwatched her beautiful leg turn black, shrivel and fall off. I'm checking her daily to see if she can learn how to fly because if not, I have lined up a foster home for her.

All of this because some jerk couldn't be bothered to clean up after himself.

End of rant, but you can see how p***ed off I get just thinking about it. I guess the short answer would be forgiving others for negligence that harms other creatures.

Well, first there is no such thing as a "fast lane." That is an invented term. You should drive like your life depended on it, because it does.

I do not have road rage but my character flaw is anger at the little things that do not matter much. And stupid people that have road rage.

You had me until you had to bring in Gawd. Everybody has character flaws, I like to make rude comments to people online. You can have morality without religion, though. If you think about it, being nice to others to avoid going to hell is somewhat narcissistic. Would you not behave if there was no threat of eternal damnation?

I have bad pretty bad road rage too, although I've been working at it. I put a bumper sticker on my car awhile ago that says "Believe in Peace" so I feel like I have to be more even tempered as to not be hypocritical while driving!

My biggest character flaw is probably pride. It's pretty bad.

I wish I could take things less personally. Like, for instance, if my boss tells me I need to work on not coming in late so often, I take it as a personal stab and get really hurt by it. I know that this is wrong, and not really what's happening, but I can't control how my emotions react.

Like you, I also suffer from road rage. I always get strong feelings of guilt immediately after I pull up beside one of those rude morons and blow his brains out.

I know it's wrong but luckily, they can't report me to the police if they're dead.

Do you think I should work on my self-control? I'm sure those guilty feelings are supposed to prompt me to make some sort of change. But to tell you the truth, I'm starting to like it. It's a lot better than that game "Grand Theft Auto".

I definitely struggle w/ pride. Right now, I'm also struggling w/ faith, but it'll pass. Creationism is being called the easy way out, and I'm actually starting to listen to those accusations. I need to stop being so intimidated by thoughts. I can back up any Bible verse, but I can't do much outside the Bible.

I can never stop talking sometimes. Somebody asks a question to a group, and I'm so full of words I can't keep my mouth shut to let someone else speak. Or I let someone speak and immediately reply! it's so stupid! I don't do it all the time, but when I do it, I feel very akward afterwards.
