Think about it now... don't be so quick. "I don't believe YOUR God exists." Well of course such wording will be offensive. You just made it direct and personal about the believer.

Had you said "I don't believe in a god", that would have been an opinion fairly stated- to which each person is given the entitlement by God to believe under free will. You have every right to such a belief if you choose it... and you should be respected if you word it unoffensively. Likewise for the Christian to say that they do believe in God- they should take care to speak gently and respectfully.

Opinion

it sounds like an opinion. but the pervious and following statements before the 'i dont beleive your god exists' determine whether its an offense comment or an opinion. so while that paritcuar phrase may be an innocnet opinion, what ever came before and after it in a sentence determine whether its offensive or not.

an opinion, but it's an opinion that challenges the beliefs of others. and that scares some people. pending on how much stock they put in their religion, it could qualify as blasphemy. which would constitute (from their perspective) an offensive statement.

but if they plan on sticking around on YA, they should probably learn to disregard it. lol.

The answer is already inside your mind when you ask this question...
Although I dont know you, but I can read your mind when you type this question. I believe there is a reason why you ask this.
its just your own personnel opinion, so have faith in god, every religion and gods are the same, to me there is no "which god is better " coz all gods want human to become a good man and woman.

I personally don't think its an offensive statement. It is your opinion, your prerogative. I do however know that a lot of people could be offended by your opinion. But there emotional reaction to your opinion is there problem not yours.

Hi..
Why would it qualify as a offensive statement? Everyone is entitled to their own opinion..

That is purely an opinion which you are entitled to. It becomes offensive when one starts slanging off and using offensive language. I am not a believer but I respect those who do believe and offer them the same courtesy that I myself would like.

Just an opinion

It's a statement AND an opinion. It's not offensive, just the truth. It's getting so that you have to preface every statement with "This is just my opinion, but..."
