Knowledge that death can come at any time helps people live a better life. If people knew the exact time, they might well party their brains out until just before the end, being focused on themselves.
Those of us who have come close to it, often realign our priorities in a good way.
People spend so much time and energy in the past and the future that they neglect to live right now, the only time we DO have to live and experience things. Knowing the time of your death could also lead to obsessing about the future.
So, my answer is no.
Yesterday is a cancelled check.
Tomorrow is a promissory note.
Today is cash in hand, spend it wisely.

For some people it takes that. What happens is when you know how long you may live, you seem to be more focused on living. When you don't know how long you may live, you may not maintain the same focus.
However it is not necessary to know the time of death to live a fulfilled life. We can change our focus at any time and be more concentrated on living a full life that will glorify God.
I am surprised that many seem to think that knowing you did not have long to live would cause you to do unthinkable things that were self-fulfilling. In my case it caused me to set up a trust fund and to spend quality time with my family.
In 1999 I had an aortic valve replacement, and knowing that I may not survive the surgery at my advanced age, I made sure that everything was taken care of in the event of my death, and the few months I had before the surgery were lived out making the most of the time I had left with my wife, kids, and grand-kids. I survived the surgery and continued with my life and ministry as I had before I knew that I may die.

I'm not sure that it would. If you ask people what they would do if they knew they had only six months left to live (as a user recently did), you get quite a mix of answers, some admirable and some decidedly not. I suppose for those who figure they won't be around to deal with the consequences, the temptation to commit crimes might be strong. For those who love and care for their family and friends, seeing to it that their estate is in order is important. Plenty would spend the time preparing to ascend to a higher plane of existence. Many would want to savor all the pleasures left to them here on earth.
So knowledge of your date of death MIGHT help you to a better life, but there are no guarantees.

So many people try to "patch the boat" when it is already sinking. Start living every day for the Lord, be spiritually prepared to meet Him at any moment, then you don't have to worry about when you die. Besides true life for a Christian does not begin until we are ushered in His presence to live forever. That's the "better life."

Yes, you are right. You should practise many time before you death otherwise you will still get into the lower 3 re-creations.
Being death; there will be so many images come to you and the temptations are difficult to avoid. If you clearly understand that all images including good or bad and view come to you are false. During this moment, your 4 elements divide and torture ocupied all your senses, it really a vare chance to be clear head at that moment.
Svaha!

I can't see how. If you knew you might become a neurotic, dysfunctional mess. You might try to cram every fun or pleasing thing in the world into your life before it ends, with disregard to how it affects others. I can think of several bad scenarios, but no good ones.
Re insurance policies, if people knew, there would be no policies for sale.

You have a point.
Live it up riotously while young.
Become more spiritually aware as old age brings you closer to the day of death.

If you knew when your time was up you could not live an honest life because you would be influenced by the time you had left not by your heart.

It might help to plan ahead (and maybe take out a big insurance policy for my wife and son's benefit).
But last time I checked, this isn't really something we get to choose....
