I don't get excited when ESPN does anything. No one can top the horribles of TNT of NBC......I hope.

Not only glad, but ecstatic that TNT coverage is over. I record all the races when they broadcast, so I can skip the ridiculous amount of commercials and as little of the stupid cut-away banter by their "analysts". I hope that ESPN puts together a great broadcast so the fans are able to enjoy the race, not the crap.

Yes, I remember a time when men were men, Nascar was on ESPN and the Speed Channel showed more exciting shows than Unique Whips!

YES! Ever since ESPN announced that they would be broadcasting part of the NEXTEL CUP schedule on ESPN, I knew it'd be awesome. I totally expect them to "raise the bar" and make the other broadcast companys look @ what they are doing and make significant changes. If TNT thinks there format is anything but horrible, then they have another thing coming. I have high, HIGH hopes for ESPN. I just hope they don't let me down.

i don't know that i'm happy to be certain Nascar returned on ESPN. They saved breaking away to commercial each and every 5t-to-10 minutes and that became stressful. whilst they confirmed the drafting illustrations, that became exceedingly cool and informative nevertheless. Yeah, Allen Bestwick could have been a greater valuable decision in the studio over Dr. Jerry Punch. commonly used, it might desire to have been greater valuable prepare, however the show became good.

ESPN covered NASCAR several years ago but lost the contract...their commentators know what they are talking about (Dr. Jerry Punch, Mike Joy) so their coverage was very good...here's hoping that this time around they'll have that great coverage again and we won't have to listen to Darrell! However, we will miss Benny and where's Eli?

Personally no but why wouldnt they get involved. First Speed Channel now ESPN. There just jumping on the billion dollar bandwagon fueled by under exposed NASCAR fans. Watch some Formula 1 (if you have cable).

When ESPN carried NASCAR before this contract farce they had the best of the comentators as well as inovated coverage.
I hope they can get the coverage back to the precontract days.

So far, ESPN on ABC has done great coverage of the Busch races. I can't see why it will be any different when they start broadcasting the cup races.

They do high school football....(my old high school has been on there) and so I would think they would see the pluses of having NASCAR on there as well. Lots of fans out there who can't go to all the races. Just hope that they have decent commentators if they do it that way.
Go Jeff!! =)
