I am so sick to death on here of Christians being lumped together as idiots. There are many verses in the Bible that tell what will happen to those who rise up against God and his followers, maybe these attackers need to hear a few and please come back and vote down the idiots who reply as we ask them not to answer as we are not asking for their opinion.

Lemme get this straight -

You're sick of Christians being thought of as idiots, and you're going to respond by quoting Bible verses that threaten people?

Is your head enclosed in some kind of box?

You sound like a good and sincere person and your fiance sounds like a good person, too. I don't have any hard data but I think there are many Christian young people who live with others before marriage without its being considered living in sin (Prince William and Kate Middleton for a prominent example). So I think that your pastor must be somewhat extreme. You don't mention your denomination, but you might consider another pastor. You might talk to other pastors or do some reading on this question, to get a different point of view.

Romans 12:17 Repay no one evil for evil, but give thought to do what is honorable in the sight of all. 18 If possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all. 19 Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God, for it is written, "Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord." 20 To the contrary, "if your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink; for by so doing you will heap burning coals on his head." 21 Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

Galatians 6:7 Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap. 8 For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life. 9 And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.
