Hebrews 5:7
During the days of Jesus' life on earth, he offered up prayers and petitions with loud cries and tears to the one who could save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverent submission.

Yes. He was fully divine and fully human. He had emotions, including the ability to cry. The shortest verse in the Bible is a powerful one. John 11:35, "And Jesus wept". It showed us how much Jesus loved Lazarus. With that saddness, there was hope. Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead. With that same thought in mind, when we are saddened, we should also take hope in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

At the site of the Oklahoma City Bombing Memorial, there is a statue on the property of a church across the street. It shows Christ weeping, and the single inscription on that statue is "And Jesus wept."

Yes, It's in the new Testament, Gospel of John. The reference is John Chapter 11, verse 35: "Jesus wept." It is also the shortest verse in the Bible.

Jesus wept as he stood before the grave of Lazarus, the brother of Martha and Mary. Lazarus had been buried for 4 days. However in verse 43 of the same chapter, Jesus says, "Lazarus, come forth" and Lazarus arose from the dead.

Greetings,

Even though I remember a story of Jesus up on the mountain weeping for God to take this cup from His lips {meaning the death on the cross}, I couldn't find the exact wording. It's in Matthews and Mark.

But I did find the scripture of Him crying out to God right before He died. Luke 23: 42-43 KJV.

Hope It Helps!!! Great Question!!!

Yes, he cried at the death of His friend Lazarus. The Scripture is John 11:35, which is only the two words, "Jesus wept".

Sure!

I think he must have cried a great deal because, to this day, you can go into some wine shops and find his tears all neatly bottled. It's called Lachryma Christi.
