God gave you genitals so that you could resist the temptation to use them. He gave you a brain for the same reason. Eating and drinking is allowed but only when absolutely necessary. Breathing is fine as long as you don't enjoy it.

Perhaps some of you are missing the ironic import of my post.

Lust is sexual desire. In James 1:15, it is said, desire leads to sin which then bring forth death. Jesus also said that (Matthew 5:28), whenever a person looks at a woman lustfully, he has already committed adultery, which is one of the 10 commandments (Exodus 20:14). So is lust a sin?

Not only is it a sin...It is one of the seven deadlies-
Quoted from Wiki
"Lust is usually thought of as involving obsessive or excessive thoughts or desires of a sexual nature. Unfulfilled lusts sometimes lead to sexual or sociological compulsions and/or transgressions including (but obviously not limited to) sexual addiction, homosexuality, adultery, bestiality, and rape.
Dante's criterion was "excessive love of others," which therefore rendered love and devotion to God as secondary. However, lust and love are two different things; while a genuine, selfless love can represent the highest degree of development and feeling of community with others in a human relationship, Lust can be described as the excessive desire for sexual release. The other person can be therefore seen as a "means to an end" for the fulfillment of the subject's desires, and becomes thus objectified in the process. In Purgatorio, the penitent walks within flames to purge himself of lustful/sexual thoughts."

Lust itself is not a sin it's where and how it is applied. For instance, you can lust for your wife or husband all you want.

Lust causes fornication and adultry in your heart and even the act of fornication and adultry. Which both are a sin. Lust also is the cause of covetesousness.

A conspiracy.
Lust being a sin, but it's needed to procreate, meaning everyone born is automatically born in sin. Needing to be in the faith to be 'cleaned'. Nice racket.

Short answer: it's fun! Plus, by outlawing it, the Church was able to sell indulgences for it.
