lol yeah Allah(swt) created the universe as a test for man...Jibril(mpbuh) wished to show the people the path to succeed in the test, there is a hadith which tells of how the angel Jibril came to the Prophet Mohammed(pbuh) and questioned the prophet infront of his companions..Saying "tell me about 'Ihsaan(perfect action)"
Prophet Mohammed(pbuh) replied "that it is to worship Allah as if you are looking at him, but you cannot see him take it for granted that, He is looking at you."
The Quran says that Allah created Man and jinn so that they may woship Allah.
The Quran
(it was we who created man, and We know what suggestions his soul makes to him: for We are nearer to him than (his) jugular vein[by our knowledge])

The creation of the universe was as a test to mankind. Jibril is an angel and he wanted to show Muslims the path of success so he went to Prophet Mohammed(pbuh). Jibril was described as wearing all white with pitch black hair. He was described as basically being beautiful. He sat down and placed his hands on Prophet Mohammed's(pbuh) thighs. He asked Prophet Mohammed(pbuh) many questions about Islam. He asked Prophet Mohammed(pbuh) these questions as a test and to show the companions of Prophet Mohammed(pbuh) the right path.
What is the problem with other Muslims on this forum that they can not answer a single question....We are tested everday in life. Did you not know the answer?

The purpose of our creation is to build and develop this world according to Allah's laws and make it a better place and He will reward those who did the best.
Worshiping Allah is essential to keep us in straight path in building this world.

Answer 1 sounds very much like a Christian response, i.e. to worship God and to enjoy Him forever. I would like to know if that response can be traced back to the Quo ran.
