I think you can in some churchs. Try to ring the pastor and ask. Good luck

Yes I'm sure that you can. However do you attend that church that you want to get married in because I think that you have to attend churches services there for a least 2 or 3 months before you can get married there. However I'm not fully sure about this matter, but I think that you should visit the church and talk to the vicar there just to make sure

Yes, but it depends on which church. To some churches, performing marriages is just a public service. To others, it's a service exclusive to members. You can't sue, because membership isn't something that is out of reach for anyone, even if the standards aren't what you like.

In other words, you will always find a church willing to do your wedding, no matter what your religious history, but not all churches are like that.

Is your partner christened? You can get married in a church if one of you is the same religion as that church.

It depends on the church. I was never christened but my wife and I were married in a unitarian church. She is catholic and was baptized as such. If we had chosento be married in a catholic church I would have had to become a member. So it depends on what religion the church you are inquiring about belongs to!

We are getting married in Fife, Scotland and neither of us are christened. I think the rules are a lot more relaxed these days, they are just glad people still want to get married in church! Catholics are still as strict.

Church of England require you to be christened, sometimes this is done in conjunction with the marriage (the vicar will not pour too much water over your lovely hair do). Baptists do not christian they have full immersion baptism and they will want proof of your conversion. Ask your local clergy, they will be happy to answer this question over the phone.

Yes, many churches actually rent the reception area also. The church has a contract with one price for members and a higher price for non-members. The minister will want to know the details of your ceremony.

In Scotland you can get married in your local parish church, even if you have never been a church-goer. Don't know about elsewhere though. Contact your local church and ask their advice.

Check with a local church of your denomination. However, if you aren't a churchgoer, it would be quite hypocritical to get married in a church 'just because it is pretty'.
