There is a statue on the books in my state that prohibits obstructing the "flow of traffic"; further, there is another statue that states, slower traffic is to "go right" and allow faster traffic to pass.

Unfortunately this is not a high priority call. It is not that they wont take action, but more than likely are busy on other calls. Calling in such a call in is not very helpful. Usually, the problem is gone unless a patrol car is nearby. It IS a violation, at least in Michigan. If you are not in the process of passing someone you should be in the right lane. if that is seen by a police officer they usually get stopped. Of course if that person sees a police officer he/she will move over anyway. I have seen that particular violation more now since I am retired...

If they are driving the speed limit and not breaking any traffic laws then what exactly do you expect the police to do? Pull them over because yo uwant to speed around them? Police deal with any and all traffic VIOLATIONS, your opinion of issues is irrelevant, it's the law that police officers care about.

In today's world its best just to chill out and wait till you get a opportunity to pass the slow poke. I know it can be frustrating however its not worth a fight, jail or worse.
