I lost that much in little less than 4 weeks on Atkins. I did not move on to the second stage until the 4th week. Less than 20g of carbs a day for 4 weeks. I really was doing about 25g a day, but as long as you're consistent, you'll see results.
And for the record, my LDL levels decreased, HDL increased, all my levels were better (and still are) than when I started it. After that, go to a maintenance phase, which is by all means, like going back to normal, cutting just those unnecessary carbs. At this point, you could have some carb-loaded treats every now and then, but don't abuse. Exercise and vitamins are essential throughout. Good luck!

Quite easily, you could probably drop 5 kg of fat in around 5 -8 weeks if you have it to lose.

Trouble with dieting is that people think that losing weight is teh key to good health whereas the key is reducing body fat to a healthy level for your age and gender.

If your body fat levels are low, you will lose muscle mass when you diet and it can be very difficult to lose 5kg of that.. and also very unhealthy.

Now, to lose body fat, all you need to do is maintain a calorie deficit. That is burn more energy than you consume... and that measn exercise and eat well.

I recommend that you do lunges squats and deadlifts with handweights, as well as some core muslce exercises on a fitness ball.. and a few pushups. Do these 3 times a week. Also, you should do some cardio, like bike 4 times a week for 45 minutes. These activities increase your caorie burn, even while you are asleep. Your diet, depends on your size... but if you take a caloreie intake of around 1700 calories a day that is manageable and with the exercise, will ensure you are in a calorie deficit.

Good luck...

- avoid junk food like hotdog, hamburger, fried-chicken, french fried, well, anything fried and served fast.

- avoid soft-drinks and alcohol drinks

- do regular sport. It is best that you do sport activity that you love. Honestly, I hate fitness, but I really like swimming, so I just swim every week (3 to 4 times) instead of going to the gym. The result was my weight lost 5 kilos in 3 months.

Good Luck!

Hi,

Eat 4 small meals a day -- no junk food. And 10 glasses of water and walk for 30 minutes everyday.

There is an easy program you can check that I used and lost 9 lbs in 11 days.

And you can keep doing this diet until you have lost what you want.

It evens create your diet for you depending on what you like to eat.

I hope this helps

5 kgs is easy.

Just eat lots of veggies, lean meat and complex carbs. Of course, exercise.

I lost 31 lbs on low carb, low fat, high fibre, high protein and an hour of brisk walk 5 times a week.
