The biggest part of grandparent rights is first proving that there was an established relationship before the parent(s) decided not to allow you to see the child. If there wasn't it is almost impossible to get visitation, if there was a significant realtionship between the two of you than it would be in the best interest of the child to have visits with you.
Usually your local family court will allow you to petition for visitation, I would take that step first.
Hope this helps, good luck.

Sorry to say but grandparents have no rights, only mothers and fathers if the name is on the birth certificate. Your son can apply for visitation if his name is on the birth certificate and he can see the child but you as a grandparent have NO rights in a court of law.

It would depend on what state you are in for starters, And your 1st step would be to ask your lawyer about grandparents rights to be sure they have them where you are. Then you can always check with Children Youth & Family Services on how to go about seeing your granddaughter. I hope this helps & good luck!

Try your local Citizens Advice Office. If you there isn't such a form there, somebody will know how you can obtain one.
Then again, maybe you could consult the people at your nearest Courthouse.

I would go down to the courthouse and try there--they can tell you exactly what you need to fill out and such.
Good luck to you!

The best thing for you to do would be to visit your local citizens advice bureau, they will be able to give you all the guidance you need.
