The problem is you aren't supplying your body with the energy it needs, when it needs it. While exercise is always important, most people who feel this way during the middle of the day feel that way because of poor nutritional habits.
Calories are simply a unit of energy, and your body requires energy all day. If you are about to fall asleep at your desk, that is your signal that you haven't given your body proper nutrition and energy, so your blood sugar levels have gotten low.
The best thing to do to keep your blood sugar levels consistent all day is to eat smaller, more frequent meals/snacks throughout the day.
You should eat something (not junk food, you have to make good choices) every 3 to 3.5 hours. This gives your body a regular supply of calories, and your energy levels will be the same at 10 AM as they are at 2 PM as they are at 7 PM.
Also, this is the best technique if you want to lose body fat by the way. When you eat only a couple of times per day, you generally take in more calories than your body needs at that time, and any excess calories get stored as fat. Eat smaller portions more frequently and you won't be giving your body more calories than it needs at that time, thus no extra to store as fat.

Hope that helps,

Get 5 minutes of fresh air and have a little walk every 1-2 hours. If you have to stay at a desk, open a window if possible and/or have a stimulation drink (coffee, red bull etc)

go outside for fresh air. I'm sure the cool British wind (should be a bloody warm wind at this time of year!) will soon wake you up in no time!!

Take a glass of water and a good brisk walk.

Eat only when hungry and not more than thrice a day. Nothing other than water in between. Include plenty of uncooked vegetables and fruits in each meal, preferably 50%. Chew each morsel at least 32 times to activate ur body to generate signals of hunger/fullness. Obey these signals.

Take light exercises and brisk walks regularly preferably twice a day.

U will achieve what u have not even dreamt and that too in a reasonable time. Do not be in a hurry.

Stop staring at the computer screen, go to the toilet. Splash cold water on your face. Go for a walk around. Usually works for me.
