I was running around cleaning my puppy's muddy footprints off the tiles and vacuuming her hair off the furniture ... and the dog was just lying there dozing and watching me through half-open eyes ... and I thought ... "How about you work for your living for once, you lazy lump?!!"

I reckon it would be good if I could hitch her up to the vacuum cleaner and train her to pull it round the house. 10 points to anyone who comes up with a better idea (then I'll patent it and get rich, lol!).

Ha ha ha this is a GREAT question! I especially think this when I'm once again vacuuming up all the hair my 100 lb Newf/Lab sheds on the carpet.

I think I most hate washing the dishes. But could I really trust my dog to WASH them as opposed to just licking them and sticking them in the cabinet?? Vacumming it is then. Maybe half the time he could vacuum the floors and the rest of the time vacuum himself so less hair makes it to the floors lol

I would give my dogs the worst job of all, to put up with me no matter what kind of a mood I'm in or what I happen to look like that day. They would have to not only have their tails wagging, but the whole body wag whenever they came in contact with me. If I felt sad they would need to come up and rest their heads on me for comfort, if I became scared they would need to protect me....wait a second

My dogs already do their jobs and quite well I might add :)

I used to know some people who owned a little country store that had a bar. They had a really smart dog (Australian Shepherd) and she learned how to pick up beer cans out of the parking lot for them.

my dog actually picks up after the family he is a brittany spanial .(well sort of)picks up ) if you give him a dirty plate he will bring it to the kitchen and if you give him a paper plate he'll bring it to the trash. it didtn take him long to learn he caught on really quickly. but if he could do a chore i would want him to pick up hiss poop. see how he likes it

I wish they could pick up their own poop, and clean the carpet when they decide to vomit there rather than on the tile.

i would get them (i have to take care of 4!) to feed and water themselves and also get them smart enough to not tangle themselves up in their chains!!! (my dogs arent allowed in the house...theyre all kelpie x's!!!) and if theyre smart enough not to tangle themselves up, maybe they would be smart enough to train themselves, too!!!
