Hmm let's think for a second... How is it possible that the fossil record is completely instact, with no deviations from the pattern, whatsoever, with the animals we have today at the top, with people, with Earth being only what 6-7 thousand years old?! Don't try to tell me that a flood (yes you heard me correctly, a FLOOD.) caused the animals to be buried in that order, from the simplest to the most complex. That idea is almost completely laughable... If that were true, why aren't there lions with the saber tooth tigers, and modern trees with ancient trees... Why are there rainforrests stacked on top of each other?! Why are the same sized mollusks scattered throughout the entire fossil record, but none in different layers are the same? Why are there pterodactles in the bottom, and modern flying animals on the top, none mixed together? I find it completely rediculious that anyone could believe something liek that... Oh and the days in Genesis are more accurately interprited as ages.

I'm not saying Creationism in general is that stupid, although I don't see any evidence for it, but young earth creationism... well, there isn't a word for how stupid it is. Especially an educated person.

No I can honestly say i don't find it a tad stupid. I find it utterly MORONIC. There is actually some church based website with a picture of a "human" footprint (resembling, I kid you not, Bigfoot) next to dinosaur bones. This is what they use to prove man and dinosaur co-existed. I could not make this up if I tried.

Cali girl is correct to say either creation or evolution requires faith. Since you brought up the fossil record you have to know that all the main families of animals appear at the lowest geological level called the Cambrian level. How did those animals appear from out of nowhere without any descendants? Science cannot answer that because it is out of the scope of observation which real science requires.
there are various documented finds of man and Dino's and or their tracks being found in the same strata but mainstream science will not report it since it clashes with the non existing geological column (never observed to exist anywhere) and invalidates the time frame for evolution. The La Brea Tar Pit near in L.A has produced fossils of saber tooth cats and man and other similar finds but of course you will not hear much about it either-goes against evolution philosophy. Most people's misinformation about evolution comes from the public schools and nature programs on TV that are propagated by atheistic scientists who want to spread their own philosophy of naturalism. There are documented examples of trees growing through several layers of rock strata which are supposed to be hundreds of millions of years old but we know that trees only grow for several thousand years at the most therefore invalidating evolutionists time table. Look for observable evidence and you will find it.

Of course, it's irrational.
No irrational thing comes from God.
The Genesis story is early written accounts of verbal traditions that go back to the ice age.
The flood was probably from when the black sea filled up about 11 thousand years ago.
Some stories are completely allegory and some half forgotten memories but none are accurate as a blow for blow historical account at the beginning of the Bible but they slowly become more accurate as time, literacy, and civilization developed.
This takes nothing from the spiritual message, and believing it does is insulting, but not more insulting than accepting the spiritual and believing a literal interpretation of Genesis.
Blessed Be!

The problem with evolution is it doesn't match the fossil record, of course this isn't a really a problem, just fudge or fake the facts and most people won't care. Of course, some people do care, which is why ridicule is considered a legitimate argument by evolutionists.
And no, you are completely wrong, the 7 days mentioned in Chapter one of Genesis cannot be interpreted as ages, they can only be interpreted as the normal rotation of the earth (or a similar period of time).

Dont start.
Evelution is idiotic.
For life to form there must be oxygen, so what did the first creatures breath?
If animals formed first then plants then its utterly stupid to think there could be any life formed at all at first. There would have to be a breathable atmosphere for life to be started. something there wasnt any of right after a huge explosion placed the earth PRECICELY where it is where it couldnt be more perfect. or how you can see every star from earth. Or how the holes in the ozone layer make perfect since when you think that theve actualy been there since the watter table that was over the earth broke, flooding...You heard me, flooding the earth. thats how they found fosials the same type as found in the oceans on top o mountans.
And dinosuar fosials by human fosials...you heard me and dont say im stupid cuz its true..
Lets add that to the fact that Evelution is so mathmaticly inprobable, I would, if given the chance, put people who belive it in a nut house cuz how inpossibe it is.
the way the odds play out, you could take a 747 completly in peaces, put it in a feild have a freak storm blow thru and leave the 747 sitting ready for takeoff, before you could even give a nod to evelution being probable.

What's laughable (in a sad sort of way) is that you believe the fossil record is completely intact, from top to bottom, with no deviations from the pattern.
Where'd you get your palaeontology degree?

stupid is an understatement.
young earth creationism is a religiously backed cognitive dissidence that borders on mental delusion.
You might as well believe that the world was created by martians using pixie dust.

I don't find it stupid at all, in fact I am a creationist. I mean if you think about evolution, they never did find any missing links. Sure, they can pretend they did when it was really just a pig's tooth or a normal human's skeleton. The truth is that no matter what you believe, you have to have faith in your beliefs to believe them.
