Absolutely, not for them - but for you. Anger is a disease that harms the person that has it much more than the person it is directed towards. Think about when someone cuts you off in traffic. You go through your day thinking about the person that cut you off, getting angrier every time you think of it. You may even feel sick to your stomach or get a headache because of the stress your anger is causing you. What about the person you are angry at? What are they feeling? Nothing- a lot of the time they don't even realize that they did it or they immediately forget all about it.
You should always forgive for your sake, but that does not mean you need to keep this person in your life. Forgiveness does not mean you have to let this person continue to harm you.

I really depends on what they did, why they did, and to the extent they did it. Most people who have hurt me in the past I have forgiven. I believe in second chances in most cases. There are a few that are just completely unforgiveable. It's a hard thing to realize, but it's true. I've lost many a good friend because of the things they've done.

There's a guy out there someplace that murdered my mother 7 years ago, I haven't learned to forgive him yet. I'd like to say I have but He stole something from me that I'll never have again. I'd be lying if I said I had.

Yes.
Sometimes it's immediate, and sometimes it can take years (my dad's abuse toward me caused me to develop a mental illness from which there is no known recovery - that took grit, determination and years for me to forgive.)
The Bible speaks about forgiveness in parables and straight-out. Basically, if you want God to forgive your sins, you've got to forgive the people who have hurt you. (Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us). Not forgive us our trespasses (sins) and then we'll forgive our trespassers, but as we forgive, in that same way, forgive us.

Eventually, most likely, yes, I would be able to forgive them.. but I need to be ready too... when the time is right, and I am ready to move on from the situation.
