Just bought a new HYUNDAI 07 AVANTE HD / ELANTRA

There seems to be a sever vibration that comes on when the AC is turned on. This problem is getting worse.

Any help?

i have brought it in 5 times to the Hyundai dealership but they could not resolve the problem... they keep insisting that it is normal when it is not... so i am thinking of fixing this issue elsewhere

Yes, take it back to the dealer and let their mechanics take a look at all these problems you are posting about here. You have a 5yr 60,000 mile warranty, so there's really no reason to post these questions unless you just want to know if what you are experiencing is normal.

I concur on the engine motor mounts. If even one is bordeline and you add the load of the AC compressor to the engine it will make the engine shake a LOT. The dealer will have the specs on the mounts and be able to see if they are within spec. I had a LOT of problems with idle shake on one of my cars and struggled with it for months. I finally found a knowledgable tech who diagnosed the worn upper motor mount in one minute. The mount was replaced and the car idled like a Rolls Royce. Huge difference. Good luck.

agree with the above answer about the A/C lines, and if you aren't getting any satisfaction from the dealer that you have been going to, try going to a different Hyundai dealer, and give them your symtoms. The warranty will still be honoured.

The engine works harder when the A/C is on.

When the engine works harder, it shakes more.

Rubber engine mounts absorb the shaking. Time to change a rubber engine mount out, or two if needed.
