These are names of first 4 books in New Testament of Bible. Yes, of course these are also the author of same books. Matthew was a tax collector, Mark's profession i am not sure , Luke was Physician & John was a fisherman. Later they all became Christians i.e. followers of Christ. Only Matthew & John among these four were apostles.

They are the names associated with the writers of the four gospels in The New Testament.

Two of them are not of the original Apostles (the original twelve disciples plus two others: Matthias and Paul)

Mark is usually taken to be the recorder of Peter's teachings, and Luke was an associate of Paul.

Peace be with you, Islam and Christianity are brothers in religion, Abraham is their father, but both have been deceived.

For Jesus said; I come in my Father's name and you believe me not, another shall come in his own name and him you will believe.

The Words I speak unto you are not my Words, but the Words of Him (God the Father) who sent Me.

Mark and Luke were disciple of the Apostles, Matthew was a disciple of Jesus. John was a witness sent by God.
John the Apostle did not write the Gospel of John, or Revelation they were written by John the Baptist .
