i saw on the internet that Wal-Mart is selling Bible Action figures, what do you think?

I am thrilled about it, i am happy that kids can play with that instead of some of the other toys out there.

I think it's great. It provides parents with a good alternative to some other toys, if that is what they're seeking.

in the event that they are relatively evaluating those non secular figures to the Ninja Turtles, i'm cool with that, because of the fact it somewhat is each and every of an identical: figures in keeping with imaginary beings. we would sell serial killer action figures in this united states of america if somebody could make a greenback off it, so Walmart's purely doing its area for capitalism. we don't stay in a Christian united states of america! study the form, would you? purely because of the fact the Christians are incredibly a lot working each and every thing does not advise that's how that's meant to be.

It's just another way of commercializing Christianity, another step towards turning this country into a theocracy.

It's wrong. And I'm sure Jesus would be absolutely ashamed of that sort of subjugation of Christian values, which are supposed to be against materialism.

Besides, Wal-Mart is supposed to cater to the American public at large. Not everyone is Christian.

I can't say I ever went to Wal-Mart off on often anyway, but now that they have officially aligned themselves with the sick part of the Christian religion, I am boycotting them completely.

EDIT: What on earth are you talking about? most of this country is Christian. And just look at how badly we're doing in the world. Clearly, more Christianity is not the answer to our problems.

Tacky...

Are kids going to be able to tell the difference between Jesus' superpowers and Spiderman's?
Especially if they are in the same aisle and rack?

"The toys, based on biblical stories, include a 3-inch figure of Daniel in the lion's den, a 12-inch talking Jesus doll and 13-inch Samson action figure."

Now the Samson one could get LOTS of accessories.
City gates, pillars, all those foxes with their tails tied together..

Hmm. It seems that (large size) Samson has Goliath for his opponent at the moment. More WWF than OT.

Small size Samson comes with Delilah. Could be interesting.

I think it's hilarious, Jesus as the mascot for wal-mart. I wonder if he's all beefed up like the newer Luke skywalker figure. Jesus on steroids.
I thought Christians were against false Idols?

There was lots of action in the Bible! Wars and Angels slaughtering thousand of people. Rape and murder were written about to.
Plastic figures of people we don't know about and don't know how they looked won't change society.
A toy Abraham slaying the Egyption soldier is just another GI Joe.

LOL, I think it's cute really. I can see so many commercials for it though...

Jesus Christ Action Figure...with real water that turns into wine!!!!
...But that's not all!!!!

Use Moses' tablets to smite worshipers of false idols!!!!!

And for a limited time only, brought by popular demand....GOD!! with real smiting lighting bolt action!!

lol, I get a big kick out of it being catholic. But, it's kind of wrong, using Jesus for personal profits and extortion, you know? Oh well...

I have one. Action Figure Jesus. I got it at a used book store. It has "Gliding wheel Action." At first I thought it was a gag but someone obviously is serious.

I think they're ridiculous and funny and a totally cynical attempt to suck yet more money out of credulous Christians who think anything with Jesus stamped on it is this wonderful thing.

If you think kids are going to be all reverential with these things, you're dead wrong. Jesus is going to be piloting X-wings and having laser battles with GI Joe and using his Kung Fu Grip to squeeze off Count Dooku's head.

I don't like it. Jesus should not be used as a toy. To put Him on the same level as GI Joe? That really sickens me for some reason.
