I can put 30 characters including spaces. I thought of "you to me is love to need" does it sound to corny?
how about 'it's what's inside that counts"
"life started on 9/26/06" (the day we met)

Some idea's that I am contemplating for my fiance's ring are:
Mizpah (Hebrew, Genesis 31:48-49: God watch between us when we are absent from one another) (he's in the military so I think this would be a good one for us!)
or
Amor Vincit Omnia (Latin: Love Conquers All)
I think I may go with the Amor Vincit Omnia. But anyways, to help you out I added the link where I found these ideas. There are a bunch of good ones on the site to help you out! (especially if you scroll to the bottom of the page)
Good luck!

Angel.... guess what you werent over there (iraq) either, so stop being a ***** and just answer the question. By the way, over 60% of military marriages fail, so you have a much bigger chance of not making it than most of the people on here.
To answer your question about engraving what about something like Live Laugh Love and the wedding date?

We had or rings engraved. On mine it says SRS to TLS 8-1-98 and on his it say TLS to SRS 8-1-98. My mom always said that was not a good idea, because if he ever forgot our anniversary he could just look inside his ring. That has never happened, YET!!
I like the "life started..."
I also like, To have and to hold or forever and always.
Is there a song that the two of you really like, you could take something out of it, if it really means something to your heart.
I hope I have given you some ideas and a little help! Good Luck!

Love is patient, love is kind. it does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres
Just write "1 Corinthians 13: 4-7" That pretty much covers it all, and you still have enough space for your wedding date. Best Wishes!

I think it is a lovely gesture. I want to do that too when my finace and I get married.
I don't understand: "you to me is love to need" at all.
But you need to choose what means something to you. Is there a little thing that you always say to each other?
I like what someone above said (can't remember their name) "today, tomorrow, forever".
Yeah, can't top that really. I think the date is important to go inside the ring. How about something as simple as "yours forever" or "all my love"...
good luck and I think it's beautiful how you're putting so much thought into what you want to put inside hubby to be's wedding band. Congrats on your upcoming wedding!

wow, no angel didn't wake up on the wrong side of the bed, someone just pissed in her cornflakes. If she is so concerned about her deployed husband why is she answering questions in the wedding section. This person is posting a legitamate question in the right section!
Anyway! I like the first one, but you are right, you really have to think about it. What about "You complete me, then your wedding date." or the life started one works well too.

Umm...first of all, your life started the day you were born. Don't act like you had no life before this man.
Your first suggestion makes no sense.
How about something simple? Like...oh, I dunno...I love you and then put the date of your wedding?
Umm...no didn't get up on the wrong side of the bed. I am a military wife, had hubby deployed to Iraq, he got injured, he is now back in the states...there are more important things in life than what is engraved on the inside of your wedding band.
Hubby and I didn't engrave anything in our wedding bands. We already know how we feel about one another.
HAHA you were over there too but I am sure you weren't blown up 5 times.

Those are all pretty corny. Why don't you just write your names with a heart in between? Or maybe "Never to fart" *lol* (License to Wed joke). Sorry.

i thought about what your 1st suggestion was, REALLY thought about it, philosophically. is that REALLY what you want to say? think about it, if my interpretation is wrong, and it could be, and if so many people on here think different things, its possible you may have to explain it to him too, i like the basic idea, the only word i'm struggling with is "need" and the 1st word that came to me instead was "life" this implies that he is everything to you, the best thing that a person can ever have
i dunno, maybe i'm rambling, its just my thoughts, you know him better than anyone, good luck

I had our initials and our wedding date put on the inside of my hubby's wedding ring. Simple, and he'll have no reason to forget our anniversary! ;-)
