Nope. Haven't you heard? 40 is the new 20, so that puts you at about 15.*wink*
Seriously, if that is what makes you comfortable then wear it. There is no more "too old" anymore, especially if it is what you like. I wouldn't recommend wearing teeny bopper clothes to go along with your ponytail, but these days a ponytail is worn by just about anyone who needs a quick fix to get long hair out of the way. It's not about age anymore. Look at Jacklyn Smith!

Not at all. 35 is still young. I don't see anything wrong with even a 55 year old wearing a neat ponytail. Having long hair depends more on personal style and the condition/health of the hair, not age. I think ponytails look good on all women provided that they are done nicely.

it really doesn't matter what type of hair you have, it only maters how you feel. what you do often plays a roll also. for instance if you ride a Harley then a pony tail is ALWAYS COOL!!! however if you are a minster then your followers may feel differently about a pony tail... if on the interesting chance that you are a Harley ridding minister then you can do what ever you want to. LOL. so age doesn't matter on your hair style, the only thing that matters is how you feel about it. if you are comfortable, and your job permits it then there are absolutely NO PROBLEMS :) enjoy your hair. and remember if you don't like it you have ever right to change it. take care.
oh because you are asking i thought that you are a man that is why i answered as i did... however if you are a woman then a pony tail is 100% always ok. pull it up, pull it down, make it tight, make it loose, to one side, or the other, have two if you feel spunky!

I'm 34 and I wear my own hair like this its easy to care for especially since the weather is so hot. I have seen women older then 35 rock this hair style.

as an experienced stylist and salon owner, there is no age limit on any hair style you care to mention, it is a fallacy that after a certain age you should have your haircut short, its rubbish, if you are happy with your style and above all if it is practicable and in good condition, if it is not broke don't fix it
and do not allow bossy stylists to pressure you into a style you may not want, most of my clients are more mature females and you should see what styles they choose, answer if your happy carry on, although a pony tail every day could damage your hair if an elastic band is used, and its to tight

Only if you're wearing a low ponytail. It looks classic if you draw it at the nape of your neck. Also, part your hair on one side, it makes the ponytail look more chic.

I don't think that a ponytail has an age limit.

I'm 55, male, and mine runs to the center of my back. I get a lot of looks and a lot of complements. Lots of people tell me I resemble Willy Nelson LOL.
