...experience the pain and suffering you have gone through so far in your life?

How about for some of you who had lost a beloved parent at a very early age? How about those of you who had lost a child? Are you thankful to God you went through that hell or that particular experience?

In everything give Him thanks

And we know that all things work together for Good to those who love God those called according to His purpose

As believers our steps are ordered by God
No one suffered in life like Job or Jacob, Joseph, but out of all these outwardly negative experiences these men's inner experience of God was deepened.

The thing is.. things WILL happen in our lives.. i lost my father when i was 2 .. My mother was 22 and he was 29 yrs old.
To this day i always wonder why this has happened. but recently i realized that just prior to my fathers' death he fell deeply inlove with the Lord. Had he been given more time to live he may have backslided .. we never know.. but the Lord took Him and because my dad loved the Lord and lived for Him I know that I will see him again in the New Jerusalem.

At first Job did nto give thanks, even Jacob and Joseph probably wondered what the Lrod was allowing to happen to them.
But at the End of Jacob's life he said something precious.. " The Lord has shepherded me all the days of my life to this day"
Job said that he only KNEW of God but NOW .. through the stripping experiences of God in his life he attested that he SEES God.. finally all the self righteousness and natural goodness was removed and all taht was left was SEEING GOD.. such a blessing ...
may we not shy away from our own Job and Jacob and Joseph experiences...

We are those following the lamb wherever He may go.. sometimes we go through the valley but it is in the valley that everything grows. Nothing grows on the mountain peak

May the Lord prepare a feast for you during your WALK through the valley.. some of us want to run through the valley ..but its a WALK with the shepherd. He anoints us with oil, our cup can run over, there is a feast spread even before the enemy, the rod and staff of God's protection are ALL IN THE VALLEY..

So IF you are going through one now. Do not let the opportunity be wasted. Ask the Lord to gain more of you during this time. After the rain the sun shines again...
We need both the sun ( persecutions) and the rain ( the living water of the Spirit ) to grow.

Keep abiding

in Christ

This life is a test and it is all about how you react to adversity in your life. You will be judged on how well or bad you react to a situation, no matter if it is winning the lottery or losing a loved one. We should be thankful for all of our experiences and use wisdom to help others. I personally have not dealt with a loss of a child or lost a parent at an early age, but I would rejoice in knowing that they are headed for a better place....

No, I really have been hurt by many of the things that have happened in my life, and I'm not thankful. If I could have avoided them I would in a heart beat.

I don't believe God wanted bad things to happen to me. He is a loving, caring God. Unfortunately God lets people have free will, which means they can do bad things and he doesn't go around controlling them. Blame Adam and Eve for that.

I went through a period or such I say , a month of painful sore-throat. I didn't know what was wrong with me.

I pray to the Gods I knew and no one helped me.

Then Jesus came into my life and changed everything.

I became better both spiritually and physically.

So sometimes before I pray, I always tell Jesus "Oh...Lord thank you for giving me the illness. if you had not...I wouldn't have known You and Your Love".

He gave me the Hope, Faith and Love.

The best thing that has ever happened in my life was suffering from the illness and embracing christianity.

every experience, whether good or bad, that I have had has shaped me as a person. everything I experience is making me a better person for God's work. I have free will, and with that I have to take the good and the bad.

No, I'm not thankful for that but I don't hate Him for it either. Lost my daddy at a young age but it's cool now. What, am I supposed to become atheist all of a sudden?

Are proud of yourself for trying to target Christians because of what we believe and are thankful for what we have? So to answer youre question, no but I believe that God gives us these difficulties in life because God doesnt spoil us. He gave us a chance for that and we screwed it up.

I'm thankful that I'm alive to fight Satan's wicked system of things, and grateful that I will see my dad again and sin wiped out through his mercy. So, that's a big YES.
