I often feel that - between my sets of ribs?
I do have a slight eating disorder, though, and I only noticed it after developing it, and not eating the required amount each day. Not sure about you?
I suggest you see your doctor.

Chest pain can be caused by several different things. Your symptoms seem really close to a condition know as costalcondritis which is an inflammation in the cartilage of your ribs. pain on breathing in could be a condition call pleurisy which is fluid in the lining of your lungs.. both conditions should be checked by a doctor.. hope that helps

I really don't think it is anything to worry about. You sound as if you may have wind, which can give you pain when you breath in. Or you could have just strained yourself. I can speak from experience as I have had the same thing . I even had a heart test, it would seem as if my heart was beating fast and irregular, but the dr. put my mind at rest. Go and see your dr it will put your mind at rest. don't worry. you write and let us know that you are fine. good health.

How old are you?
If you are in puberty, it could be growing pains of the sternum.
But never take chest pains lightly.
Heart problems are a scarry thing and can be a silent killer, of even teenagers. Talk to your doctor about getting an EKG, which a really easy and short medical test.

Could just be a pulled muscle and you are reacting anxiously to it, hence the racing heart, but please see a doc, i had this similar a few times, on the first occasion it was a pulled muscle and the second was indigestion with acid reflux, on the second occasion it felt like a pain and also bubbly around the heart like it was missing a beat, that was gas he he
Don't worry but see a doc very soon.

There are a number of possibilities that could be causing this pain (one of them could be bronchitis, I found out I had this last week because of some symptoms I had one of them being that I found it hard to catch my breath because it hurt some) I would recommend seeing your doctor for further evaluation to see what they think is going on.

Yeah, you've probably got some minor heart/chest problem. Go to your GP and ask for him to arrange an X-Ray at your local hospital.
Don't delay, do it today.
