What do you think of these translations?

"Surah 7:199 Make allowance for man's nature and enjoin the doing of what is right; and leave alone those who choose to remain ignorant.

Rodwell:

[007:199] Make the best of things; and enjoin what is just, and withdraw from the ignorant:

Yusuf Ali:

[007:199] Hold to forgiveness; command what is right; But turn away from the ignorant.

Dr. Munir Munshey (one of www.answering-christianity.com's authors):

[007:199] Be tolerant, and enjoin the right conduct. Turn away from the inane and ignorant ones.

Palmer:

[007:199] Take to pardon, and order what is kind, and shun the ignorant;

Arberry:

[007:199] Take the abundance, and bid to what is honourable, and turn away from the ignorant.

Muhammad Al-Hilali & Muhsin Khan:

[007:199] Show forgiveness, enjoin what is good, and turn away from the foolish (i.e. dont punish them).

That is very true no doubt.
But be care full, that does not means Islam tolerates abusing or any kind of oppression to others, Islam then advises to go for jihad at that point. Because God Almighty is just and God do not want any weaker one to suffer from stronger ones, because they are stronger and they can do what aver they want. Absolutely not.
At this point Religion suggests Jihad. Yes there are different stages in Jihad, That will take time and space, may be some other time I will discuss that topic.
