I just read a census that stated people still think that Iraq started the war with us first. Which of course is not the case.
Why does America seem to be so far behind when it comes down to self-education and knowng happening in the world around you.

I don't believe Iraq had anything to do with the attack on America of September 11, 2001. But, I do find it a bit more than coincidental that the bombing of the World Trade Center happened on the second anniversary of the liberation of Kuwait from occupation by Iraqi troops.
As for the first part of your comment, Iraq did fire on coalition aircraft which were patrolling "no fly zones" established by UN Security Council Resolutions. Hussein also attempted to assassinate former President Bush. In other times, both could be considered acts of war.

I just think that most Americans are wise on this issue. But what is the issue now as a result of all of this? Iraq seems to be a breeding ground now for terrorist. It is like an old recurring nightmare called, "Nam-Iraq." I am not a supporter of what this is doing to the state of our current vets and the new troubled vets it is adding. I do not think the VA is servicing them as well as they need it now anyway. God bless our military people who are trying so hard. I hope we will learn from this how to better support them back into life here in the crazy good ol U.S.

You are obviously a citizen of a country which is a socialist state. I would guess, Canada? or England. You need to quit believing what you read. I would say that number is more like 5% not 50%. Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11. That is a fact our government has recognized over and over.
And speaking of educated, learn to read and type correctly and find out what "spell check" is.

The Iraqi gov. didn't directly do it, but when people in that government harbor and supply terrorist with money they are indirectly involved. And the war would not of happened if Saddam Hussein would of let UN inspectors in. Just like Iran is doing! And I'm sorry Americans are not as smart as say the French. Who let there lack of understanding of Islamofacist allow young Muslims to run havoc and burn half there cities:)

Iraq did not start the war with us, but we did find terrorist training camps inside of Iraq's borders and captured al-Qaeda terrorists did admit to training in Iraq.

A large number of people just absorb and spit back what they heard from others, without bothering to think about it or research the truth of it.

And of those, many refuse to adjust their thinking even when later presented by evidence to the contrary.

It's pretty sad.
