If the whole world is hit by a meteorite and destroyed, I wouldn't have to believe it to be destroyed. Poor analogy, but I'm tired.

Jesus will burn you in hell forever if you don't accept him.

Because he loves you ; )

Because he didn't die for the sins of the whole world. Many, many people take John 3:16 out of context. Read the rest of the chapter.
Christ died as a propitiation for the sins of the elect. Isaiah 53:12, at the end of the verse it says, "and he bore the sins of many." It doesn't say all.
Also look at Romans 8:28-30. You can't really get around those verses.
Hope I'm making sense here! =)

You state "If" as it is debatable. Thus you show that you dont have faith (a complete trust in and wholly existing in that which you have faith in) Jesus did die for the sins of the whole world, that he might bring in full salvation. Those who believe and accept and live for Christ, must die out to self and sin, and so God's Son is clearly glorified in you. That God's glory of His Son is through Jesus' death burial and resurrection, showing that God is Righteous God is right God is Love and God is Holy by requiring faith in man to gain salvation in order to have that relationship that glorifies the Father through Christ. God command that all should honor the Son as they honor the Father, thus there is work required though the work does not save you, the work represents that the person who believes gives evidence that he or she has accepted what Christ did for them on the personal and relational plane, and that going on into Christ they receive the Baptism of the Holy Spirit which again works mightily in us and through us - thus the bottom line why faith and works are established - in order that truly man would know that Christ truthfully became flesh and dwelt among us!

Yes, Jesus died for the sins of the whole world and His sacrifice is once and for all. This is the only WAY we can be redeemed back to God.

But sorry to say, believing that He died won't save you. You need to admit that you are a sinner and receive Him as your Lord and Saviour.

You accept it or reject it. If believing that Jesus died for our sins to appease God and believing this with all of your heart guarantees us that we can, then, have eternal life, live in a wonderful heaven, and be truly happy, then what have you to lose by believing this?

I think that by believing he died for us (to enter into heaven and be with our Creator), is your acceptance of a contract (or covenant) with Jesus and God. It is your end of the bargain. And it is such a simple thing to do. It is all that He asks of us.

If you have or had a brother who was terminally ill, but had a kidney that you needed in order to live and he wanted you to have his kidney so you could carry on and live, would you not accept it? When that brother's time was up and he passed away, would you say that you didn't believe his intentions were to save your life when he had made it clear to everyone that WAS his intention?

Jesus was real and He made the ultimate sacrifice for us. But you either believe that or you don't. No one can force you to believe this. I hope you will, in time. I am not really sure why people have a hard time believing something that was done for them purely out of love. Surely you believe that you are worthy and deserving of such a love??? Don't you?

I am not even at the Christian level I would like to be at and I still believe in what Jesus did for me and I appreciate it. I have nothing to lose by believing and everything to gain. God bless you. The Lord is trying to speak to you and you are trying not to listen, but I know you will, in time!

Fun question.....basically, this is a situation where Free Will is the ultimate Point of Contention. By Judeo-Christian ideology, God gave the world Free Will. That is the option to accept him or not. God's love is unconditional for us all, by that same token.

But we cannot reach Heaven, which is the great glory of God's presence, if we don't believe in Him, basically.

I, as a Witch, would be blind, deaf, dumb and all other ways devoid of his Presence. So, with a lack of Belief in Him, I would not Sense him and the Truth he represents to His Believers. No Salvation for Me.

Goddess Bless such a Mess.

Jesus paid the debt for sin.

Lets pretend a billionare (with fancy hair and no name given) were to pay a debt of 35 billion dollars for you and say all I ask is to accept the payment is made. You will no longer owe the 35 billion. You rub your chin and look Him in the face and say no.I refuse your debt payment and you can't make me accept (would that sound like a great answer, some seem to think so). People would say sure he can pay it?
Why reject so great a salvation.Jesus says ask and the debt of sin is paid in full. Will you say no?

Matt 25
Rev 18-22

Because hes already paid the price, hes just waiting for the person to accept it. Its like this, he has this amazing gift hes just wants to give so badly, but they just keep their backs turned as if they dont want it. They have to accept it. There are people who believe it, but dont accept it so they will not be saved. For example, There are satanists who believe Jesus died for the sins of the world, but still choose to follow satan and reject the gift of salvation. They believe that he did it, but they arent going to heaven because they chose the other path. Its all about accepting this FREE gift of eternal life.

Jesus did not die for our sins. He died because of our sins. There is a significant difference in dieing for sin and dieing because of sin. God did not kill Jesus we did. It was the sin of man and the action of man that killed Jesus. It was not a demand of the General Operations Director of the universe that the wages of sin is death. Death is the result of sin. Occasionally we can not see the connection but it is always there. When an action results in destruction it is sin even if the sinner does not know it. However it was not the unknown sins that killed Christ. Those who killed him did indeed know what they were doing they just did not know the magnitude of the results of what they did

Because it is not just the belief. It is the acceptance of what He did for you. God gives people choice. If one does not want to accept Jesus and His (serious) willful sacrificial death, God will not force them to become His child along with Jesus. Christian's are God's adopted children and Jesus is His only begotten Son. Jesus is our Lord and Savior.

When one believes, repents of their sin and accepts Jesus as their Lord and Savior, he is given the free gift of salvation and the Holy Spirit to guide and direct His life. This same Spirit is who raised Jesus from death and will do the same for Christians.

I know people are going to argue with me about this...

You can believe in what ever you want to believe in =) look there is atheist who dont believe in anything at all, then theres those ones (im sorry dont know the name) that believe they have to have lots of kids to become Gods <--i learned that one in Religion class =D. Personally I believed Jesus died for us, but I am not going to try force anyone to believe in what I believe in because I don't believe in the church =) My answer didn't help a lot I guess =) but at least you got my opinion ;)
