Yes, of course. Just make sure there's a headboard so the drafts don't bother the sleeper, and the curtains/shades don't bang into his/her head. If you need to open the window often, make sure you've got the space to do that. But a bed in front of a window can make a lovely picture.

Yes you can. I would probably not choose a window if I lived on a major street, that has busy traffic, and bright street lights. Noise level is also a factor.People who live on the first floor and prefer to keep their windows and curtains open may reconsider placing their beds by the open window.But other than that I see no reason to avoid placing a bed near the window.

A bed can definately be placed in front of a window!
but do be careful if you dont have a venilation system that pumps dry air into the house. if you dont have one of these i suggest you dont put your bed right on the wall. leave it about 3cm out from the wall to prevent condensation on the windows from dripping on the wall and going mouldy.
