i think we share the same sentiments man.. I keep on asking myself why for the past 2 months but still I can't find a valid reason for what has happened.. I just hope that you'll feel better soon.. I won't ask you to move on or stop thinking about her cause in my case i'm still doing that.. let's just hope that this process of healing doesn't take too much from us.. take care of your heart man..

You're a fairly classical guy about this type of situation.
Self centered.
Instead of crying and getting depressed and blaming anyone but yourself you need to pull yourself up by the boot straps and move on. I know its easier said than done but are you going to cry on your pillow every night until the day you die? Time to work through the pain and ask yourself the hard questions.
Where did I go wrong?
How can I improve myself? (for your next relationship whenever that may be)
She thinks of you more like a brother. Well it sounds like you dropped your guard a little too early and forgot that a woman needs romance and respect to feel like she is in a relationship, not just hanging out with her kid brother.
Learn your lessons and improve yourself. And find some hope for the future.
Take Care and please don't dump all women in the same boat as your ex. We are all unique - both men and women.

I know it sucks and it will for a long time, but "you're more of a friend now" is a real reason. In most cases when somebody says that ( and guys say it too!) they mean it. There are lots of relationships where somebody realizes that they don't feel as strongly as the other person does, so they end the relationship. A lot of people also say "I love you" too early and end up regretting it - some of them end up divorced. Better for you guys to be over now, so you both can find people that feel more equally about you.

That is reason enough. If she is not happy with something, then she has the right to break up with you. She does not need to go into greater detail. And besides, maybe it is for the better. You might end up feeling even more hurt. Most people do not like to break up with someone, but why stay in a relationship when there is nothing there?

If she did that to you then most likely, its for the best. I have never told a guy that I loved him and then left, but just recently I got dumped by a guy who did just that. We had been going out for over a year and he told me that he loved me, but he needed to leave. This happend just a week ago tomorrow. So, its not just women that do it, but guys too. Everyone hurts everyones heart. Im sorry this happend to you. I know how much youre hurting. If you ever need to talk, you can talk to me about it. Im sure you deserve better anyways. Youre a nice guy and obviously she wasnt so much of a nice girl. Keep your chin up okay?

You think your broken hearted, try this one on for size. My husband of 20 years left me because he said he didn't want our marriage to get any worse then it is right now and if he stayed he would start to hate me. We have a son together and when he said out of the clear blue he has been thinking about moving out for quilt some time.
You see your not the only one who is hurting tonight. I'm not saying that your plan isn't real because it's real to you. Come back when you been married for 20 years with a young kid and you get some lame a s s story about not wanting to hate your marriage anymore then it is right now and he moves out.

No, I can't say I know exactly how you feel, but I have been in your situation. It hurts, there's no getting around it. The word "love" just gets thrown around these days and there's no meaning behind it. She may not have loved you like she said she did and wasn't ready to get tied down. The pain, though unbearable, will pass. Just don't let this experience affect how you look at all women. There's someone out there that will love you like you deserve to be. Hope this helped.

Yes, we realize how much it hurts, but your "for no reason" probably isn't the same as ours. Do you know how much it hurts us to stay in a relatinship that is not right for us ( so that means it's not right for you either) If you truly loved the woman (even if she didn't love you ) you would want her to find happiness in her life even if it did not include you. There is someone else out there for you, but you'll never find her by sulking & feeling sorry for yourself. Go out there & act like a man that a woman would want to be with.(BE YOURSELF) Everybody wants something different in a partner, find yours.

maybe she just wants a friend and the best romance is friendship. If she doesn't want you dont take it serious. I am 43 and a guy I wanted to be with is a hairless idiot and I have boobs and a great job

yes believe me we women know all about this kind of pain...my jerk ex boyfriend did this too me too...i really tought women were the only ones that hurt that bad and your right people that do this do not feel the pain or they wouldn't do it...it actually took me about 6 months too realize if he could do this to me then he doesn't really care so he is not worth it anymore..you eventually will feel that... then you start feeling better!!!
