A pound of muscle = a pound of fat. The only difference is that fat takes up a lot more space and muscle takes up less space in the body. It just takes more (volume) of fat to equal a pound, than it does muscle. Hope this answers your question!

Yes. That's why when you start working out to lose weight it may seem to take forever because the muscle you build up is denser and therefore heavier than the squishy fat being stored, but don't give up hope. Heavy muscle is better than alot of light fat.

Muscle does weigh more but it looks alot better then fat!

yes it has much more density so its heavy. its like a 9 9 slab of steel ways 10 tines as much as a 9 by 9 slab of aluminum
