Women's mags often have great exercise pages on how to tone your legs -- they often only take about 15 minutes a day, but you will be amazed at the results after only a week or two. You can check them out at the library.

You cannot spot reduce fat-- you have to lose fat from all over. I'd suggest doing cardio three times week-- say jogging three miles, three times a week (make sure you do it at least a half hour), or using the bicycle for a similar amount (going at least 12 mph for a half hour).
Also, while doing this, try to do squats, lunges, the leg press, the leg lift, and other focused exercises. It'll help with the tone, too.

I dont remember where is saw this, but i read that you can't choose where you are going to loose weight from, the body just take it off. what you can do is choose where you build muscle though, and muscle is what burns fat. so if you want your legs to look leaner, then do exercises that promote muscle tone in your legs. google muscle exercise, and that will help you with some really good exercises on which ever part of the leg it is you want to work on specificly.

Weight is lost proportionally on the human body. Any aerobic exercise (exercise which raises the heart rate above a certain level) will help you to lose weight, but NOT specifically from any given area. By "toning" your legs (walking, jogging, bike riding, etc.) you can develop the muscles that are primarily used in these activities, i.e., your leg muscles.

RUN, RUN, RUN!! I'm a 6 ft 22 yr old guy, and I was 205 lbs, i recently just lost about 20-25 lbs and most of it was in my butt and legs. I had a muscular looking butt and legs, and I accidentally lost all of that weight from my butt and legs. All I did was run and get more healthy.
The running will build muscles in your legs that you never used before and it will melt all the fat you have around those areas. Good luck

Hi. When you start loosing weight, you loose it from the spot where you recently gained weight.
i'd try running 7 miles every week. eat lots of protein. no dairy, starchy carbs, any fruits, or sweets. lots of lean. add hoodia to your diets. they help your appetite to not want food so much. try yoga, dancing, ballet, any sports. just keep your body moving. you should see results in 2 weeks.
