I'm looking for compliments like, "you are unique" or "no one else can do what you do." You know, ones that could apply to anyone.

Gosh, Mystique, thanks for judging my motivations and intentions without any information whatsoever.

I find you interesting.

Even if they're incredibly non-interesting (boring), you can be interested in how non-interesting they are....

Hmmm! I never would have thought of that! You know...that was pretty smart! Where did you learn that? That's kewl! How did you ever think of that? That's wonderful! You make the world a better place! What would we do without you? I am so glad you're here! We sure missed you! Glad your're back! I am glad we met! You make this a better place to be! You have a wonderful perspective on this matter! You have a great sense of humor! You are certainly the diplomat! You handled that so well! You always have good ideas!

People called me the "southern bell" at work. They say I am a charmer! LOL I just like getting others to smile. Good luck, hope I have helped!

What is your reason for wanting such "generic" compliments? Using generic compliments is similar to using the same old boring "pickup lines", they are impersonal and meaningless and sometimes even have a negative affect on the recipient by making the recipient feel that the compliment was given out of habit or feeling of obligation. Personal compliments, rather than generic compliments, are the ones that people will feel that you really genuinely mean.

And when you say something generic, someone may just be wise enough to ask you to elaborate on it by saying something like "tell me the things that make me unique", or "be specific," etc!

Well, since I don't know you, I couldn't say the compliments are ask for. If I did, they would be transparent and not genuine.

However there are those who I either know or know of that I could say such things about. I think Kenny Chesney is a great person who is down to earth as they say. I could say that Elton John has done a wold of difference in the cause of Princess Diana and his and her cause to prevent AIDS.

I might mention people such as Queen Elizabeth, ll who has represented an entire kingdom with kindness and forthright. Al Gore in his mission to enlighten us to global warming.

Martin Luther King, Jr who lead a correct fight for civil rights. Prince William who spent time in Africa to get down and dirty to know the plight of those who live in abominable conditions.

Lastly, but not alone, your question is one of very concern and I am glad that I could respond to it.

You are the best 'you' I know.

Only you could pull 'that' (hairstyle, clothing style, attitude, etc.) off.

Your kindness is exceeded only by your heart.

Without you the world would be diminished.

Trying to compare you to anyone else in the world is as futile as trying to compare the prettiest pebble to a diamond -- there is no comparison.

Hope those help

There can be many compliments but all depends on the personality of that person to whom you are talking about. Choose the most appropriate one and it will look the best.

You can say: "You are much smarter than people on Yahoo Answers." This can be said to an absolute moron.

If you tell sb that she IS unique, that operson will not understand your intentions. do it spontaneously.

you can ask questions spesific to her work area, team she cheers for, etc.
