Quite a simple concept: If God knows past, present, and future then obviously the course of our lives is known and, therefore, our free will is a moot point.
To further that, how can God be all-just and all-good if he creates most people knowing full well that they will burn in Hell?
I've asked this before, but have to continue to simplify it for reasons that may be obvious to some of you; that is, most Christians are thoughtless sheep who spit out stock answers. Really, Christians: I want you to THINK about this (even if that is a foreign concept to many of you) and respond with something that may give me a bit to ponder and chew.
Calvinists: I know your answer already. Please don't bother.

Omniscience does now no longer contradict unfastened will, which as you nicely known in user-friendly terms some (maximum) Christians evaluate in. there is not any tension or enforcement, and private option is inherent in sentient competency (or human adulthood, for people who like). What would falter is the Christian theory that a loving omniscient writer will create a hell, will make salvation non-uncomplicated, and the effect of success and selections made interior the inherently impaired mortal attitude.

With God being all powerful. It means nothing is impossible for him to do. And one of these is to exist in the now, the present and not the future. The Bible is filled with individuals who excersied their free will over that of God.
Adam and Eve, as well as the angelic realm was created with two abilities. (1) To have spontanious fellowship with God, and (2) The ability to act independently of his will.
If you read closely in the Bible, you we see when someone acts independantly of God's Will. It is only after the damage is done that God re-enters the scene.
Even though God is All Knowing, he does not interfers with an individual choice or decision!
It is only after an individuals choice or decision, that God comes back into the picture.

i agree with paul. Just like you know the sun will rise in the east doesn't mean that you control it. I dint think that most people realize that the is a balance between the two ideas. sometimes people assume that it is either one or the other. God knows it and therefore it is set and we cannot do anything about it, or we can do something about our choices but that means that God is not in control. God being infinite can limit himself in his control to allow us the ability to make the choice on our own. Yes he knows what we will choose but that does not mean he makes us choose Him. God knows I will have frosted flakes in the morning but does that mean that I don't have the ability to get up and change my mind. not at all.

There is no contradiction. God exists outside of time and space, and from His perspective He sees the fullness of time simultaneously and eternally. God doesn't "know the future before it happens". Rather, for God there is no such thing as past, present or future, since these concepts relate to time, and god exists outside of time. God sees all events in every moment of time, eternally. Therefore He knows our choices of free will - those that are past, from our limited linear perspective, and those which are future, from our limited linear perspective - because He is actually seeing us make those choices. However, it should be evident that merely watching someone make a choice doesn't limit the freedom of that choice. If I observe you making a choice, from my limited perspective in time, my observation doesn't affect your freedom of choice in any way. Likewise, the fact of God observing, and therefore knowing our free will choices from His perspective in eternity, doesn't affect our freedom of choice whatsoever.

i see no problem.god created us for worship, but he wants us to love and obey him because we want to not because we have to.this is free will to choose what we want.but remember with all choices comes consequences some bad some good.god sends no one to hell they send themselves with there sin.mankind had no hope for heaven thats why christ came to give us a chance.but to a non-christian this talk is foolish(like the bible says)read proverbs 3 ;5-6

Knowing something, and controlling it are two different things. God knows how everything will play-out. He knows every decision we will make, before we make them... But He does not make our decisions for us.
I hope this makes it clearer for you. There is no contradiction, at all.
God Bless!

God created us with our own free will...Yes...does He wants His people to go to Hell....No...the reality is...most are. You go to Hell....not because he wants you to.....your ungodly...sinful...decisions send you there. The reason why he created us this way is because He wants us to love and worship Him without being controlled.

That is only true is time exists. Yet, man created it. He knows all possibilities, does that make all possibilities true?
